If you want to improve your writing score, I think you should take a writing class or find a tutor as somebody suggested above. I'm an international student too, I'm considering to retake GRE to get a better score in math (it is 163) because I didn't manage time well during the math part. But I don't think my verbal (153) would improve because verbal and writing need a longer time to actually improve.
Just took the test today.
Powerprep 1: took it 3 days before test date, 149V/ 167Q
Powerprep 2: took 2 days before test date, 149V / 163Q,
Real GRE: 153V / 163Q / AW not known yet.
Hours studied: 300+

Thank you so much for your post, It's good to know it. I usually rush on the first few questions, so that i would have enough time for the statistics and chart, which require more time.
I'm thinking about the same thing, just for the purpose of living in different countries. English is not my native language, so it doesn't matter where I go, but i prefer UK. Let me know once you make your decision. Good luck!
I'm about to take GRE in 2 days.
I took ETS online test yesterday. My question is:
Is the real test harder than the practice one?
I'm really stressed now. Could anyone tell me this? Thanks.
