I'm probably working myself up a bit for no reason...but my first class starts today and I'm already scared I'm not going to enjoy this. Did you like school? If not, did you find it easy to power through anyway? Any advice would be awesome
I was accepted to three schools. I was torn between two, so I visited/sat in one classes at both. One school was not very welcoming at all, and the class size was very large, which ended up making my decision for me.
I was wondering if any current MSW students in this forum had advice for newly accepted students. Tips on managing stress, staying organized, or anything else really. Thank you!
I am choosing a weekend part-time program for this reason. I was really torn between two schools, and taking four years to finish is a bit of a drag... but I can work full-time now and save money during my foundation classes, and cut back on work during the two fieldworks. These decisions are rough. Good luck!
I'm not necessarily advocating for this move but I called the admissions office of a school with a blocked number. The person who answered the phone (an admissions assistant) was able to give me a mailing date for letters, without me having to give my name. So, you might be able to get the information you want without any harm.
Congrats! That is great. I was told that the St Kate's info comes in their packet sent in the mail (which I haven't received yet). I believe the U already sent aid info out, at least for fellowships
Accepted to both the U of MN and the St.Katherine/St. Thomas joint program. Waiting to hear from Augsburg College but thrilled about the news already received.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!
I called St Kate's and Augsburg (with a blocked phone number because I am paranoid). Augsburg is mailing out all letters March 1st. St Kate's said they already mailed out advanced standing letters but regular standing (that's me) letters will go out by the end of this week. Eee
