Anyone going to Loyola Chicago's interviews for the IPBS this upcoming Thursday and Friday?

BTW, on the website for UChicago it says that until you receive a decision from the program, you are still under consideration (even if you haven't received an interview invite, which you'll obviously need to have at some point). Has anyone received an invite AFTER the first round was sent out, and ultimately was accepted that way?
where did you see this and for what programs? can you drop a link? Thanks!

Which program???
Microbiology

Emailed university of Chicago yesterday asking if invites had been sent out and they said yes earlier this week. Bummed about this one. U of Chicago was my top choice

Then why did you apply? Haha
Don't get me wrong I liked the program! It just wasn't my top choice. I liked some of the professors research and the location is close to home (relative to other places that I applied). I figured if I got an interview I could make a more informed decision.

Just putting it out there, but I'm very confident that UPenn CAMB is done sending invites, most were sent out last thursday and friday.
Haven't heard anything from them
That's alright, though. I wasn't 100% in love with the school just figured I'd give it a try. Thanks for keeping us in the loop this entire time! You have been our "inside guy" haha.

kind of worried I haven't heard back from UChicago Microbiology or Yale BBS Micro Only see one or two people that heard back today and yesterday so hoping they aren't done! Good luck everyone!

I received an email from them last night, around 8PM PST. The interview dates are Jan 26-28 or Feb 16-18. Idk if they're still sending out, but good luck!
Congratulations! Very jealous, I hope I hear back from them. I really liked the program. Were you the one that posted that in the results?

I realized I never did my little introduction!
I'm applying to: Harvard (Systems Biology), Harvard (BBS), MIT (Biology), Stanford (Biosciences - Genetics), UCSF (TETRAD), UC Berkeley (MCB), and UWashington (Genome Sciences).
Already heard from UCSF (12/15), Harvard BBS (12/16), and Berkeley (12/16). Still waiting on the rest.
I'm actually a computational biologist in an HMS cancer lab, so if you have any questions about Boston or Harvard PhD programs I'm well-versed, about half my lab is BBS and the other half is Chem Bio. Happy waiting to all!
Not sure if you'll actually know anything about this but I figured I might as well ask since you've lived in Boston for quite some time! I already applied to Harvard and didn't hear back about an interview for the BBS, so I'm assuming it's not going to happen haha.
I also applied to Tufts Sackler for their microbiology program. So my question is: do you know anything about Tufts Sackler? Like what is the general concensus that you may have heard? Do people tend to like the programs at the Sackler school?
Just asking generally about it and anything you may have heard! Let me know! Thanks!

Question to anyone
I don't see much discussion about Johns Hopkins Medical school graduate programs... anyone on here waiting to hear back/applied?
I guess I'm surprised to see so many people talk about Harvard while Hopkins to me seems to define medicine... interesting to hear what people have to say.... it's just I'm shocked to see more people waiting on results from Dartmouth than Hopkins medical school grad programs... but I may be missing something
I looked into Hopkins when deciding where to apply. I liked some of the research, but nothing really excited me. Honestly, it came down to whether or not I would be willing to live in Baltimore for 5-6 years. The answer was no lol. I don't think you could pay me enough to want to live in Baltimore. The programs are great down there, but theres just nothing there for me.

were people receiving interviews last weekend? just wanted to know if most places stick to weekdays.

Just looking at the results for harvard bbs. Why do some people say they got invites on the days other than the main day? Do you think that's a typo or what?

I thought that was just a hip new phrase. I was prepared to roll with it.
Lol. We could make it a thing. You heard it here first!

Harvard sends all their invites today until 5, though it seems they are going alphabetically.

Got it from Harvard BBS!!! Can't believe it!
My last name starts with Y, so I think you are right, they could be going alphabetic.
Congratulations! That's not a good sign for me though Last name is R

Received a Harvard BBS interview a little before 10 am! My last name starts with an A so it is possible they are going alphabetical.
Thanks for sharing! Lets hope so. Mine starts with an R so I might have some time

My last name starts with C so I might be lucky enough to get the first batch of emails. BBS is a big program so it definitely takes long time to email everyone. Hang in there and good luck!
Lets hope! Congratulations again! Is Harvard your first choice?
