  1. Hey, @misagald! Just saw your list. According to the phone call I got from the program director at the GSD on Tuesday, they should be sending out emails with MUP decisions today (3/2). It's 3:30pm eastern time, so I would imagine they'll be hitting inboxes in the next few hours. MIT should also start releasing decisions. I got a call from them yesterday and a confirmation email.
  2. Congrats, @emilyf413! I have the same issue. I just don't want to be stuck in traffic in LA. I was at the convention center for a conference last October and it wasn't that bad. I took the metro down to USC, the Expo Park stop is right in front of the campus. I talked to a few students who lived near the metro line towards Santa Monica. I think their rent was about $1,600/mo for a 1 bedroom. They said that the metro made it easy to come and go from campus, but you'll need a car/taxi/uber to do anything else in the city if it's not near the metro.
  3. Congrats @margota! Just saw that I got a Dean's Merit scholarship - full tuition as well! Will you guys be going to the Merit scholars event in March?
  4. @ELP14, did Barry explain how it would work if admitted students turn down the fellowships/go elsewhere? I got a good offer from USC, and since I'm planning to come back to Southern California after grad school, the program would be a better bet. Still a bit early, and in waiting on several other schools, but there's a high likelyhood I won't go to Evans. Wondering what the policy is and how they allocate those funds.
  5. Congrats @Leeannuhw! Too bad I'm out of town. Maybe there's a packet waiting for me at home...
  6. Got an email at 2am PST saying there was a change in my application status and to check the you.usc.edu portal. Said I was accepted (!), but no mention of funding. There's a link to a grad admit website. Not sure if that'll have information. I was up early to catch a flight, not a bad way to start my vacation!
  7. Yeah, nothing to report yet.
  8. Anyone else waiting to hear back from USC Price MPP? From the previous years, it looks like the first notices go out around the 10th for those that applied by the scholarship deadline (12/15). So we should be hearing back this week...
  9. Hi ELP14! Congrats on being accepted to Evans! I was so confused when I got the email since it was in January - extremely close to the deadline. From my understanding, acceptances and any financial aid offers were sent out at the same time. In my acceptance email, I was offered an Evans School Fellowship. The fellowship is composed of in-state tuition (since I'm from CA) and a monthly stipend for both years. You can also read the last page of the thread linked below from 2015. If UW's policy is consistent, then it looks like if there was no financial offer made at the time of acceptance, there won't be one made at all. Of course, there are also assistantships and other things you can apply to that would help cover tuition, but it looks like you can't see which ones are available until you're registered as a student. Best of luck!
  10. Just got an email from HKS that it was sent to us by mistake. " You may have received an e-mail from Harvard University IT asking you to activate a HarvardKey account. This e-mail was sent in error and we ask that you please disregard this message. We have not released any decisions at this time. You will receive an e-mail from appstatus@hks.harvard.edu in mid-March regarding your application status. Please follow our Admissions Blog for official updates. "
  11. @Nozistin, you may have seen this already in the application itself, but WWS indicates that the SoP "should not exceed four double-spaced pages (11 font or larger)." Also, to answer your other questions - I am combining certain aspects of my HKS essays to write my SOP for Goldman. They're asking for the same information, what are you interested in, why you're interested in that, what have you you done to get there, how the school will help you get there, and what you want to do after. Obviously, I'm editing heavily in order to make sure things connect well and flow. Also, I am using a large part of the SOP for Goldman to address the WWS SOP, just tailoring it to the specific school.
