    It's hard to imagine that at this time next year, I'll be in my second semester as a doctoral student! A life-long dream that will actually come true...

    My New Year's resolution is to accept PhD rejections and acceptances with grace, humility, and a zen-like understanding of my own powerlessness over admissions committees.

      You are a bigger person than I! I'm going to wallow in despair upon each rejection that comes my way, I'm not even going to try and be graceful about that! If I get accepted anywhere, I'm going to do a silly happy dance!
