Agreed on Harvard not being this week, seems like they will wait until next week. For those waiting (with me) on Vanderbilt, if you don't hear by the end of today, it is almost certainly a rejection.

Same here.... sigh. Claiming the rejection boldly, Ithaca would have been fun, but my wife will not be upset about avoiding the snow. LOL, sounds like it was real, but still, that's my theory on how trolling determines what it does. They are a crafty bunch.

UGH! It's so GREAT to have this back... yesterday I couldn't post at all and it bummed me out. The website seems to still be acting funny, at least on my end... dunno what to say about that other than I wanted to admit how much I have really enjoyed this community. I haven't been able to share with many people around me because I am in a job right now and don't want to disrupt everything here until things are locked in. So, this has been an awesome place to share and be excited with others going through the same process. So, anyway, cheers to us! Also, congrats to all the people who claimed acceptances over the last few days, especially peeps who are claiming there first ones. Still keeping fingers crossed for those waiting to get offers.

Claiming a Brown rejection, email sent to check the portal for decision. Bummed, but not too worked up. Providence would have been fun.

My personal favorite is still a response to rejection: "uncalled for!"

This looks like a pretty comprehensive list. If all those come in, I will be happy. I'm curious about what people know about visit days. Is there anything generalizable about them? Is it (a)typical for schools to foot the bill? If I get multiple offers, hoping to do most visits.

Yeah that makes sense, especially if they are working on a new process (e.g. maintaining a waitlist). I'm definitely clear on not getting in, which is just part of the process. I'm just bummed on the real lack of communication and/or transparency with the process... I mean, say what you will about Vanderbilt, at least their DGS sent out an email explaining their projected timeline for making decisions. I appreciate that level of intentionality and professionalism. I can live with a rejection, I would just like to know about it formally.

That is good to know. It just feels odd knowing that I am most likely rejected by these places, but I can't really put my finger on anything formal yet. It's very surreal.

Wow! Again, this is way better to come to after being busy all day at work... Congrats to all my GCafe Comrades who got accepted today! I'm sharing the sorrows with those who heard nothing... honestly, it's really weird not receiving one email from any of the schools I've applied to yet (NW, UChicago, Duke, ND)... I'll say it again, at this point, just some kind of notification would be nice... No portal updates, no emails, no nothing... Weird stuff. Party on.
