Agreed. Why are people so shocked? My SO and I have been together for 9 years and are getting married this July. We will also be in our mid-30s by the time I've finished my program, and so I've been wondering about children. Luckily, a professor at my program opened up to me about her own experience of becoming a mother during grad school. I was nervous to ask about it, but it is a concern, especially as an older (28) student and woman. I really hope I can connect with other older grad students as well.

Yes, although it is very intimidating. It's definitely a very hectic time of the year, but I hear Rhode Island is quite beautiful and worth the trip!

@soliloquy Multiple interviews are a good indicator that you have a strong application. Don't worry, you'll be accepted into a great program that will be the perfect fit for you. I had an interview with UPenn, but I have heard nothing from Chicago or UNC-Chapel Hill, which was a bit rough for me. I didn't realize how much this process would be emotionally draining, but I am so happy for those who are getting great news. Let us not give up hope so easily!

Hah! Yeah, the time is approaching fast. I'm super nervous for the interview, but I just hope that I accurately represent myself and am not too flustered by nerves. I expect more results to start rolling in as soon as next week.
