  1. Woww sooooooo officially received an offer of acceptance into York! I am very excited!!! I have been applying over 7 years to clinical (in the meantime completed a masters in personality and measurement, and have been working as a research assistant over the past 3.5 years, with ample publication opportunities). Also... if any others are headed to Toronto and would like a roommate, or even someone else to shop housing with for moral support, please let me know. Toronto living on a student wage might be a ~*struggle*~. Hope all of you are holding up - this process is very stressful and it can be so difficult not to take rejections as a reflection of personal competence/worth. I was so close to giving up this dream, but I am honestly grateful for the time it took because I feel so much more prepared now. Best of luck to everybody ❤️
  2. Do you think rejections are guaranteed if there haven’t been any interviews yet?
  3. Compulsive e-mail checking and mad anxiety lol. Already looking into my plan c option of running away to the circus.
  4. I asked the queens program administrator about status updates and received this reply today: “folks are just finalizing application review this week and next week so hopefully we will start to provide status updates to all of our applicants shortly thereafter.”
  5. Best of luck to you too! The wait is to stressful.
  6. Getting so anxious! I applied to Ottawa, Windsor, Queens, UBC-O, UBC-V, and McGill... and yet, haven't heard a thing from anywhere. This is my fourth attempt applying for clinical programs. I have a masters in another psych area and relevant work experience. Am really hoping it will work out this time but seems like so many people are hearing back already and I have not.... Yikes. Is there still hope?!
  7. I thought we'd know by then too. I still haven't received a formal rejection from Windsor either.
  8. Hey! I have e-mailed Windsor this year about it but have yet to hear back. Would you recommend e-mailing only POIs that interviewed me? I would certainly like the feedback so I hope that my POI will provide some insight. Thank you so much for the advice.
  9. Thanks for the advice I did contact POIs prior to applying, but did so around the end of November, so maybe earlier would be better. I believe my LORs are good but I'm not sure because I havent read them. What does SOP stand for? Aw man, good luck with York!!
  10. well, fourth year trying and given that i havent gotten any acceptances, it looks like another year of rejections. does anybody have any tips regarding where to focus their energies and how to improve their applications? I have a high GPA, good GRE scores (though now I have to rewrite since it will expire), a masters in personality and measurement (yet no publications yet save one in the undergraduate journal and a book chapter), several conference presentations, and about 5 years volunteer experience collectively between RA work and dropping in at the mental hospitals. any help at all would be extremely appreciated
  11. Does anybody know when Memorial U conducts interviews?/Has anybody heard back from them for the Psy. D. program?
  12. So, they accepted 12-15 students? I was interviewed and have not heard back. I'm not sure if that means rejection or waitlist (for child clinical). Do you know whether the child clinical applicants that were accepted will be accepting their offer?
  13. Same - thinking of calling the grad secretary today but not sure if that would be of any use.
  14. Still waiting to hear back from windsor child clinical... was told I would hear back mid-feb and have since sent an email to the graduate secretary and my POI and have not received any info. Wondering if I should send another as it has been a couple of weeks, and maybe my e-mails were lost among clutter :S anyone have any info?
