Ahh ok thanks for that! All I saw was Joseph-Armand Bombardier. Didn’t realize that was for masters as well.

One person at UMontreal said they just found out they won a Joseph-Armand Bombardier, so doctoral competition. That’s the only one I saw on Twitter though.

I noticed the same thing when logging into the portal, my application seemed to have completely disappeared. I emailed my university's scholarship officer who handles Tri-Council applications, she contacted SSHRC who just got back to her saying that they remove the applications once the deadline has passed. Which doesn't really make sense because only one other person I know who applied is having the same problem (out of 8!) But they assured her that they still have my application. Hope that helps!

As others are starting to get acceptances I thought I'd ask: what amount is considered a "good" funding offer? What should the offer be enough to cover in terms of tuition, rent, living expenses, etc? How much do grad students typically supplement offers with loans, etc? I just received my first official funding offer and this is my first year applying so I have no comparison. The offer would be enough to cover tuition and rent for my first year but no living expenses. My apologies if this is already posted somewhere else, I tried searching and couldn't find anything.

Has any one else received an email from UOttawa? They just sent me an email saying that they've used my transcript from my CGS-M application and found that my grade average does not meet their minimum requirement of 80% so I've been rejected. Which is quite a surprise as my average is well above 80%. I emailed them asking for clarification but nothing yet.

I did too. Apparently it's because of the glitches they've been having with the new system. Documents were not appearing as received and things like that. My application status online had previously said incomplete and it was missing my transcripts but I checked after I received that email and it's been changed to showing my transcripts have been received with status "under evaluation". due to all the issues I'm assuming their admissions process will likely be delayed.

is anyone familiar with the interview process at UVictoria? Previous posts have said that generally 3-4 candidates are interviewed for one spot at most universities but I received an email about the clinical grad students taking the candidates out for supper rather than a larger social gathering, which leads me to believe that it will be a smaller group. There are 6 clinical faculty accepting students and I would think that at least one grad student from each lab would be attending. Any thoughts? I'm just trying to figure out what my odds are at this point!

I was informed by the admissions office at Ryerson today that interview invitations are still going out and that even if you did not receive an invite for a preliminary interview you may still be accepted. So don't give up hope yet! :-)

I am experiencing the exact same thing with UOttawa. Apparently they're using a new system this year and there's been some issues. I was told not to worry about it and it should all be fixed soon.

What about tattoos? I'm torn about whether or not to cover mine up. My two most visible are a sleeve and one across my chest below my collarbones. On one hand I don't want to do anything that might tip the scales against me but then on the other if I get accepted they'll be seeing them anyways (but I guess then it won't matter as much because I'll be in). Both of these tattoos are very intricate, delicate and black/grey with thin lines. I already work in a professional field and they have never been an issue. I'm applying to schools in Canada that I've heard aren't as conservative as others. I feel like I have three options: 1. Cover them up completely with clothing and even buy tattoo cover up make-up 2. Cover them at least for the most part with clothing so can only see hints of tattoos 3. Not make any effort to hide them but obviously still dress business formal does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Would you mind PMing me your POI at Ryerson as well? Thanks! :-)
