Well after three years of applying to PhD programs, I got an email today telling me that I have been accepted into UT Austin's Hebrew Bible and the Ancient Near East program! I'm very excited and thankful that this entire process is finally going to be over. I've been anticipating doing PhD work in Bible for like 4-5 years now and actually knowing that I will be doing it later this year instead of serving coffee to pay student loans is such a relief. 
 
Also, I would have had to do the GRE again this year if I didn't get in somewhere. I'm so glad I never have to give ETS my time or money ever again. 
 
It's also worth mentioning that if you get shortlisted by a program, that doesn't necessitate that you'll be accepted or that the professors didn't like you. So be excited if it does happen to you, but don't start planning anything.

Historically, Biblical Studies is the only department that consistently interviews (I think Religion and Society does too)

I saw in the results that someone posted an interview invite for HB at PTS.

So, I saw someone got an interview for OT on January 5th at Baylor and expected to get rejected after that. But as it turns out, I just got an invite to interview weekend as well! And since there are two OT positions there, I can wish you the best of luck, MonkeyMagic, and sincerely mean it! Congrats, you guys!

No worries. As it so happens, I just received notification that I was invited to Baylor's preview weekend! 

I think I should post an update as well...I was offered an interview at Baylor (Old Testament). Finally I see some light after a series of rejections...Anyone going to the interview?

Do you know which field they are in? I'm also waiting to hear. 

I doooo know that at least one person has definitely heard via email. I also applied to UChicago Div but I am almost 100% certain I wouldn't get in and I have not received an email.

Regarding U Chicago Div, I also applied and also haven't heard anything. According to the results search, they notified end of February last year but around this time two years ago, so who knows. Could be tomorrow, could be two weeks from now.

@Wantingtogetinsomewhere I heard from their Am REL track about an interview just this morning, so they may still be sending emails out--hard to say...

I heard from one of my friends at Emory that each committee has already dispatched invitations to leading applicants for interview this weekend. Congrats to those invited for interview!
