  1. Does anyone know if Sarah Lawrence is still sending out interview requests? I haven't heard anything back from them at all. I didn't realize that our financial aid info needed to be in there as well so I just input that info, but I'm not sure if they were reviewing applications without the financial info or not...
  2. Hey! I just received an email today that my application has been verified and that they would make my calculated GPA available to USF in about an hour. I'm so relieved! and I've just realized that I spent $422 on USF's application - I really hope they at least review the application haha. and CONGRATS on your interview to Rutgers! I still haven't heard from them as yet =/ But I'm staying hopeful!
  3. So have you heard anything back from SOPHAS yet about your transcripts? My evaluation was FINALLY received and processed yesterday! But my transcripts from my two undergrad universities STILL say verifying - I submitted on the 26th and my application was marked complete on the 27th, but apparently it takes 2-4 weeks from the date you submit to actually verify! So I'm kind of freaking out that they won't review my application. She said it needs to be cleared by SOPHAS before they can even review it. Ahhhhhhh!
  4. I know Rutgers and Brandeis are aware of my new GRE scores and said they would wait for my new scores to arrive, the reports are pending right now so hopefully those will arrive any day now. Honestly, I didn't really study much for the GRE, lol. Between working full time and taking Biochemistry this past semester I didn't really have much time to study, so for about 2-3 weeks before the test I just watched some of the Khan Academy videos on the math topics and went through the GRE Math Review that they have on their website. I had an app on my phone that had flashcards for vocabulary words but I didn't really use that much until the week before the exam. I'm usually really good at math though so I think getting a 39th percentile my first time around kind of shocked me into actually trying to revise some stuff lol, which is probably how I got a 54 this time around. I just hate that I haven't used that type of math in years - my brain is really out of practice! and thank you SO MUCH for letting me know about the refund from SOPHAS! I was actually going to email the director of the GC program at USF tomorow (since today was the deadline) and ask if there's even a possibility of them considering my application. If not, I'll definitely contact SOPHAS for that refund!
  5. I just got denied from Emory =( I think it was my GRE scores but I'm going to email and ask for feedback. My original scores from back in August were 150 Verbal, 139 Quan, and 4.0 for Writing. But I recently retook the GRE 10 days ago, and my new scores were 155 Verbal, 154 Quan, and 4.5 for Writing. However, Emory wouldn't accept any scores any Jan 6th so I was out of luck for that. And for SOPHAS, my transcript evaluation still hasn't been completed so I don't think they will review my application. I feel like crying, I already paid the application fee and everything! That's literally the only thing that's missing. But I still have hope for some reason, lol. The only other schools I have left are Sarah Lawrence, Rutgers, and Brandeis.
  6. Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum. I just finished submitting my last application yesterday, to USF! I've also applied to Rutgers, Brandeis, Emory, and Sarah Lawrence. USF is my top choice, because I already live in Orlando which is just an hour away, but I've been having so much difficulty with SOPHAS and transcripts. I don't think they'll even review my application because my transcript evaluation won't be submitted by the deadline, and they have absolutely no leeway. So I'm pretty bummed about that.
