Hey there, I had an interview last week and all I can say it is somewhat informal and very conversational. The interviewer asks a few questions, gives you an article that you must answer in paragraphs and that's about it. Nothing fancy, nothing to worry about. I thought I did so bad in the writing and ended up accepted. Good luck !

Not sure. I think I'll take into consideration the fact that Hunter is about $1000 less than Stony Brook. Also, location & field placement availability. Hunter is 30 mins away from me. Stony Brook requires that I take one class in long island which is 3+ hrs via public transportation or 1+ hour driving. Most of Stony Brook's placements are in long island with limited placements in the City. Hunter on the other hand has great placements. Arrrrrgh you know what, I'm going to Hunter. Lol

I'm leaning towards Hunter even though I had accepted Stony Brook's offer.

Hi Empress. Congratulations to you! Same here, I didn't receive an email. My letter was dated March 20th which is 2 days before our March 22nd interview. Weird but I'm not complaining. Will you be attending Hunter ?

Hi there. I applied to the advanced standing program and my interview was last Wednesday too. I checked my portal at midnight (today) and there was an acceptance letter. Have you check yours ?

Hello fellow applicants! I'm here to give you all a little bit of hope. On a previous post I stated I messed up (or so I thought) the writing part of the interview. Long story short, I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't get an email I just happened to check my portal around midnight.

Better be safe than sorry. It's best to hold your place then to have nothing. I am still very hopeful though. I spoke with someone from SBU and they have pushed registration for MSW students until June (Instead of March 29th). So I guess they're still working on going through all the applications.

I was really hoping you wouldn't have to put down the deposit for Fordham. The waiting game continues smh.

Congrats on the interview invitation! I'm not sure about the acceptance rate but the fact that you are invited means that they're considering you for admission so that's a big deal. You should receive an email soon. Make sure to check your spam or junk folder just in case.

You just gave me hope. Because my response did not make sense at all. I wrote so that I wouldn't leave it open. Hopefully we get a response sooner than 2 weeks.

@MSWnyc94 it was mehhh I am not sure how to explain it but I am not too confident about it. I did well during the questions but I messed up the writing part. Unless they take into consideration my verbal answers, my GPA, personal statement, and letters of recommendations then I have a great chance. But personally, I could have done better with the article she gave us but i don't know. Now it's time to wait for a decision.

Yes. I declined the admission offer. I was also accepted at Stony Brook University and recently had an interview at Hunter. So it's between those two.

Fingers crossed. Hopefully we hear before the 2 week mark.
