  1. I applied around late November and after several emails to Andrea, I was initially told that I was waitlisted. (That was 2 weeks ago). Last week, I had to email them again for them to tell me a decision was made and I was rejected, even though I was also in a hurry since I am a full-time employee. I surprised at how unprofessional they are honestly, all that wait for nothing. I also have 2 years of ICT consulting experience and a 3.5 GPA with extra courses in information systems. However, I did get my acceptance from McGill yesterday. So that's good
  2. Hey Taufiq, I don't think your admission to the iSchool is based on the concentration you're applying to. Maybe each concentration has a student quota though, not sure. Where are you from btw
  3. I agree on-campus housing can get annoying, especially since you can only have overnight visitors 3 nights per month (according to their website). Not sure about their policy about having friends over, but I think you can get away with stuff if you're room mates are chill. Never heard about having to register people when they come over...
  4. A 20min walk isn't that bad, but I agree finding an appt a bit farther would definitely be more affordable. A standard room in the gradhouse is around $950 which is pretty good since the gym is a walk away and you're essentially in downtown. I don't currently live in Canada so I thought living on campus for a semester would be a good choice
  5. I applied to the UofT gradhouse and offers should be sent out around June. So in case I don't get an offer, i'd also be interested in looking for an appt. Do you know what the average rent is around campus?
  6. @Spzr @frannyt Thanks for the info, sounds like it was informative. Did they mention if there would be a second Meet & Greet for students accepted in the coming weeks? Also, were there alot of students present for Fall 2017?
  7. Does anyone know if people have started receiving rejection emails? There's only one person who posted that they got a rejection via mail... People are probably just not too motivated to post their rejections. Also, does anyone know in what stage the admissions dept is, it seems like they stopped sending out acceptances - i'll probably email them and follow up.
  8. You can check out the dorm rooms for graduates on the UofT Grad House page, I personally applied. However, applications opened up on Feb 1 and applications are considered on a first come first served basis.
  9. I'm actually a Canadian citizen but studied abroad, which probably categorizes me as an international student. If they are waiting, I guess I'll know starting April. I too applied to the McGill program not too long ago, but I'm leaning towards UofT
  10. @frannyt Thanks for replying! I contacted her on Tuesday and she got back to me on the same day. She also said my application was still being reviewed, which I also think means they haven't had a look at it yet since she said the same thing when I emailed her on March 3rd. When do applicants need to officially accept their offers? Carol also mentioned the "rolling basis" of acceptances so I really do hope they haven't reached their capacity for Fall 2017, which I think is unlikely since the April 31 deadline is still a month away.
  11. Just another anxious iSchooler here... @frannyt I also emailed Carol who told me she put a note on my application to receive my decision as soon as possible, how long after did you get your decision?
