  1. Rotman (University of Toronto) sent out offers about a week ago for OB, in case anyone is waiting. I'm under the impression that waitlisted candidates have not been informed of them being on a waitlist, and will only be informed if/when someone declines their offer and the waitlist starts moving.
  2. Just got a rejection from Stanford micro OB. Oh well! That one was a huge reach for me so I definitely expected it.
  3. Received an interview invite for Rotman (Univ of Toronto) this morning for OB! I know there's at least one other Rotman applicant here, so just wanted to share. Has anyone heard anything from Stanford Micro OB?
  4. Nice! Yeah UofT feels like they might run a bit slower this year too, because they extended the application deadline till mid Jan.
  5. Any Canadian applicants here? Applied to UBC, UofT, York and Queens for OB. Still waiting to hear from UofT and Queens!
  6. Long story, but a bunch of wild things happened between me submitting my application back in December and today - and I ended up discovering that an MSW wouldn't be the best fit for me. So in a pretty unexpected twist I'll be doing an MSc in Management (Organizational Behavior) at Ryerson instead! Hope everyone here finds their best fit and dream program!
  7. Was accepted to Laurier's 2-year MSW stream yesterday but I will be turning it down as I've accepted another offer. Best of luck to those on the waitlist!!! :)
  8. Yep, it was an email saying a decision had been made and to check the sgs portal.
  9. Rejected from OISE CCP today. *Pikachu surprised face*
  10. Got my official rejection from Queens! Given that I never interviewed, definitely saw it coming. ...I wish the others would hurry up and reject me already instead of leaving me on "Under Review".
  11. Congrats on the interview invite! Would you mind PMing me your POI?
  12. Jfc OISE don't send me any emails that have nothing to do with my application. I don't care about your surveys right nowwww. My heart can't take this stress lol
  13. Just spoke to the Queens Graduate Program Administrator - she said formal invitations for the open house will be going out within the next two weeks. Hold tight!
  14. ? Would you mind DMing me too? I applied to two POIs at OISE and haven't heard from either...
  15. Nope, no email. But I refresh all the application sites daily so I caught this one. Oh well! That leaves only OISE and Guelph for me.
  16. My York application status has been updated to "Reviewed - unsuccessful". :/ Guess that's that for York.
  17. I lost my nerve and emailed the Queens grad secretary to ask about admissions timelines. ? She's out of office but this is also what her email said: Applicants: thank you for your email, Faculty are currently reviewing the admission files and we will contact you directly by the end of February with a decision.
  18. Does anyone have an idea of when the Queens open house is going to be? And whether only those who get called for a skype interview + pass the interview ill be invited?
  19. Just spoke to one of my refs who is a faculty at UTSC. According to them, UTSC sent a partial list of applicants to each faculty some time in late December, and only sent a final list of applicants today. Most UTSC profs will probably only be taking a look at applicants today, so interview invites should be rolling out shortly!
  20. My cGPA is terrible. (Brace for it!) It's a miserable 2.25. My GPA for last year of studies is 3.5, and for the last two years of studies is 3.0. I graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from UofT last year. Program major GPA is 2.8 (gulp). I went through bouts of depression in uni, hence the grades - but that's neither here nor there. I have 3 years worth of volunteer RA experience in both academic and clinical studies. I have been employed as an RA for about a year in a community-mental health study. Starting this year I'll be a research coordinator for a non-profit mental health agency funded by the government. I have completed an independent research study and have 1 publication (3rd author) and 3 conference presentations (1st and 3rd author). I've been volunteering at a crisis line for about a year. For what it's worth, I'll have great letters of reference from PIs whom I worked with closely and know me well. I do want to do clinical psychology, but I'm thinking that my CV is in no way strong enough to compete with all y'all 3.9 GPA people with 10 publications out there. I've been asking around grad schools but of course no one ever says whether I'd be a strong candidate or not. I'll be applying in Fall of 2018 and am restricted to schools in Canada. I just...I just want to know if my shitty GPA is basically a non-starter for my application and I'm better off doing a Masters in Public Health or something else like that. I don't have to waste all my energy applying for something that I can basically never get no matter how hard I try to 'boost' my application with relevant experience. So I guess any thoughts that anyone has are greatly appreciated.
