Carleton was actually my first choice but I got waitlisted there back in February. I'm not sure when I'll find out if I've made it off since they're on strike and it doesn't look like it's ending soon but I am ecstatic about getting anywhere! It's my dream

I am SHOCKED that I got in to their program. I got $25,000 in funding ($16,000 in fellowship funding plus $8000 entrance scholarship)

York, yes but only for acceptances. U of T is definitely a long shot!

Totally agree. I didn't receive an email, letter or any kind of notification (just a "Decision Made" status) or confirmation of my rejection in 2015. No one even returned my phone calls. Their new graduate administrator is seriously amazing! He responds to everything.

I was very annoying today and called York It was confirmed that all who were accepted will receive a phone call between 9am and 430pm on Monday, not today.

No kidding! Is everyone thinking that U of T will begin sending out a round of admissions this week just based on last year's timeline? I feel like everything's been delayed at every school since so many more people seem to have applied this year than last.

I really hope SOMEONE receives a phone call from York today so at least we know it's started. I'm so tired of this

For anyone who heard from York in the past couple weeks, did Ammad happen to say specifically when this week people would begin hearing?

A couple people mentioned on the last few pages that all York 2 year applicants will hear NEXT week towards the beginning of the week (I also received an email from Ammad saying decisions were delayed by one week due to the strikes). It was also mentioned a couple pages back that all one year applicants who hadn't heard anything by this past Friday have either been rejected or waitlisted BUT since departments tend to tell applicants conflicting things sometimes, this could be wrong! You can always call to find out for certain because they will tell you their final decision at this point

It looks like all the 1 year applicants heard from York this past week. Another person on this forum mentioned when they spoke to the admin dept over the phone that 2 year applicants would hear starting this coming Monday, and that if you didn't hear for the 1 year program by this past Friday that you'd either been rejected or waitlisted. It's so frustrating when they tell everyone something different!

Has anyone completed the SOCI 301 (Social Statistics) course through Athabasca University? I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback on this course ie: how long it took to complete, was it very difficult, etc. Thanks

Hmm only 1 year is considered advanced standing, and 2 year is regular track. I assume you mean yes, that timeline only applies to people applying to the 1 year program?

Did they say this timeline (end of next week) only applies to advanced standing?

Hey Hannah, I'm also waiting on these programs I wanted to see if you'd by any chance heard anything about when York sends out all decisions including acceptances, waitlists and rejections? Someone mentioned next week for 2 year applicants but last time I applied (2015), I received a "Decision Made" (rejection) on MyFile by mid-February so I'm wondering whether I it's a good sign that I've received nothing so far.. that is if they send out rejections first.

The only reason I didn’t apply was because fluency in french is a requirement to secure a practicum. Unless that’s changed since 2015! Do you happen to know anything about that? I’d consider applying next round if I’m not accepted anywhere.
