    Hi everyone,
I have been accepted to the 2-year MSW program at the University of Toronto (so far I have only been notified via ACORN). Good news - I will NOT be accepting this offer - so someone on the waitlist will get my place! I applied last year for this program, and was waitlisted (and ultimately rejected). So, I know how it feels! I got a better offer (for what I want to do). I'll be doing my Masters of Counselling/Psychotherapy at OISE/University of Toronto.
Good luck to everyone! Be hopeful and always try again if it doesn't work out this year.

Just piping in to say: this is absolutely fantastic experience, both in terms of quantity and scope – don't doubt that for a millisecond. Seriously. Plus, your GPA is terrific and you have those incredible language skills to set you apart. If you connected the dots between your HR core competencies/specialised interests, the fundamental values of social work, and your research/practice interests in your statement (the way you have here), I'd say your application is top-notch for U of T's 2-year MSW and the post-degree BSWs.

Hey - I can speak to this since I'm currently in the two year program at U of T. They accept 140 students for the 2 year program and don't take the specialization into account. You don't actually choose your specialization until the end of first year. So if you wrote mental health and health on your application and decide throughout the program that you want to do gerontology, you totally could! Nothing is set in stone until you're midway through your practicum second semester. Hope this helps!

    Hi MSDOULBEU,
I found out by calling her and asking if there were any additional documents that we were able to formally submit (I know that some schools allow you to submit more references, etc.). She told me the only things you could submit was an updated transcript (which you knew) and an updated resume, if there is additional work/volunteer experiences you wanted to include. It does make sense if you consider that some applicants, like myself, have been out of school for a few years now. I sent my updated resume three days ago via e-mail to the admissions e-mail (which is also managed by Angela). Let me know if you have any other questions

Hey! I believe you accept four weeks within the date the acceptance letter was mailed. That's what it said on my letter at least.
Good luck! Hope you get in the program of your choice!
