@StrawberryFields67 Oh, wow, thank you ! That's really  nice. I am honestly quite stressed because I'll be in the Philippines all summer... I have no clue how to find a place to live and how to do it from another continent hahaha. Hopefully I'll manage !

Aren't GSPIA and NPSIA hosting events together ? I'm sure we'll end up seeing eachother from time to time.

Well, after deep rumination and careful consideration, I've decided to accept my offer to NPSIA. At long last, I've emerged on the other side of the postgraduate application process!
It was a really tough choice (I'm still not 100% sure of how I feel about it), but toward the end I really found myself weighing Carleton's program against IHEID's city. Obviously, I had to go with the program that I felt was a better fit - that and the one most likely to net me a job (I hear those are nice). So, NPSIA it is. 
I haven't been keeping up with this thread in the past little while, so congrats to everyone else who has since received offers. For all of you NPSIA folks, it looks like you're stuck with me for the next two years. For those of you going to GSPIA, I'm sure you're all in for a great time, too. When we're all in Ottawa next fall, we should get together for a beer. I'm sure there are plenty of fine bars halfway between our respective campuses!

@limbsun You've decided on GSPIA, then ? I went to the open house this weekend and the faculty is absolutely beautiful, I could really picture myself there haha !

So, I got into both GSPIA and SIDGS ! But I am not too sure which one to pick... I feel like for what I want to do later, GSPIA is exactly what I need. However, I absolutely love development and I'd like to do research on that subject (especially on the environment). The professors at GSPIA are amazing, but it looks like they're more interested in defense/conflicts, etc... I also don't really know what are the careers opportunities with a master in development. I'm lost. I read from last year's topic that the work load for the first year at GSPIA is really intense, which kinda scares me. It's more relaxed at SIDGS, so I thought I could do more extra activities. 
I also got a TAship from SIDGS, which is nice. I called GSPIA and they told me they give TAship to students with 8,5/10 and I have 8/10 haha. I'd like to work to limit the student loans as well. I hate to make decisions. 

@Corenn Congrats on getting into GSPIA ! Did you apply to NPSIA as well ? And when did you receive your offer ? I am starting to stress so much. I really feel like I won't get in... Hopefully I'll get in SIDGS :'(
 
Edit : AHHHH !!!! I got in as well ! I went to see ... and I saw it. I cried. I am so so happy

@Chuupa Hey, I think the status remains "under evaluation" until you finally move to "Accepted." I checked an hour early before getting accepted and it said: "under evaluation." Good luck and I hope you'll hear good news in a few days/weeks.
Also, CONGRATS to all who have been accepted to NPSIA!!! I kinda regret not applying there lol

Someone knows if there's different status for UOttawa as well ? :/

@sandradee That is so nice ! And I agree with Delidas, it probably depends of the professor. I don't think anyone mentionned something similar last year, so it might be unusual ? And yeah, let us know ! I am very curious !

First-year NPSIA student here! Anyone moving to Ottawa and looking for female roomies, let me know! Also - any questions about NPSIA let me know  

Nice to see they got invites out so early this year! Official offers with funding started rolling out anywhere from 1-2 weeks after the unofficial ones last year. Most of the TA/RA offers came out in the first batch I found, but there were some exceptions as always.
I’ll make a recommendation for those who are certain they’re coming to NPSIA: make up a class of 2020 Facebook group! We used that over the summer to connect with other students and find possible roommates. Helps make the move to Ottawa less daunting! It also becomes a great place when you start to share events and ask questions about class (and post memes about statistics...).
If anyone has questions about the program, classes, or about the city itself, please don’t hesitate to ask! Be seeing some of you in class next September.

I am trying so hard not to think about it. Midterms are helping a lot in that aspect, though. 
Looks like I'm pretty much the only one who didn't apply to NPSIA  but if we are all optimist, we might all be in Ottawa next year. Anyone started thinking about where to live ? I'll be abroad all summer so I think it will be hard to manage...
