Just received email informing me of acceptance to the 2-year MSW program at CSULB!! Excitedly accepted the admissions offer.

Just received an email from the School of Social Work stating I have been accepted!! Submitted the letter to accept the admissions offer

Hello MSWMomma! I also applied for the MSW @ USC program for May 2018. I submitted my application on October 31st and heard back this past week that I had been accepted (it took a total of 12 weeks). I did not apply for any scholarships at the time that I applied, but now that I have been accepted I am beginning the process of looking into scholarship opportunities. I am currently working on applying for the Deans Leadership Scholars Scholarship https://msw1.typeform.com/to/foIRCG. I did notice that it said to apply for this scholarship at the time of submitting the application to the MSW program, but hopefully they will still consider applications that come in later... Hi Lalaa, Yes, you should receive a confirmation email when they receive your application. This said, depending on how many applications they have received that week, it might not be immediate. I will also add that after several weeks of waiting for the email confirming that they stamped and received the application that I dropped off in-person, I finally made a call to the office and they said that they had sent an email the day after I dropped it off....though I have still not been able to located that email (checked spam and everything). Hi Kath18, When I called to talk to the office at the School of Social Work, they said it was currently being reviewed by the department...but other than that I haven't received any email correspondence (but like I said above, over the phone they told me an email had been sent) so I'm not sure. Hopefully we hear back soon! Best of luck to you!

Hi BackNSchool83, First off, congrats on your acceptance to CSULB! I also applied to CSULB's MSW program and was wondering where you went to check your admission status? Is there a link you might be able to provide? I actually called the School of Social Work office today because I never received an email confirming that they received my application (which I submitted in November). They confirmed they do have my application and said they sent me an email Nov 9th, but I never received it (checked spam and everything). It would be helpful to have a site to check into in case their emails aren't reaching me! Thanks in advance

Joining this thread I just submitted my final application for Fall 2018 MSW programs! (and now the waiting game begins)... I applied to CSULB, CSUF, and USC's online program.

Thanks for starting this thread! I have just completed my application for CSULB MSW 2018 and will be walking it in later this week. This is my first year applying to a graduate program as I will be graduating with a B.A. in Human Services this year. My GPA is 3.94 and my experience includes 5 social work-related internships working with foster kids, adults with disabilities, homeless individuals, victims of abuse, and also experience in MediCal and CalFresh enrollment. I look forward to following this thread to hear from other applicants regarding experience and timelines of acceptance/rejection correspondence.
