Your worries are small. Always look at people struggling more than you and you will feel better. I made the intention to attend SLP grad school back in 2010. Its taken me 8 years on and off. I failed out of a grad program over seas. I took a a two year break and worked in Special Ed. I've just recently started applying again. I've lost count how many times I've applied. SO your situation is much better than me. Further more I'm married and support a family. You have two years paid of education and free rent to think about what you want to do.

Hi. I've been in your shoes before when I first started applying to SLP grad programs. They want to see the pre-reqs so I would enroll in a SLP prep program. They're also called post bacc SLP programs. Lots of them around online and offline. Grad schools won't consider you at all until you get some pre-req classes. Aim for 3.0 and above. Averages are above 3.5. Minimum GPA is 3. And the real kicker is a lot of them won't accept SLPA classes. Its insane I know. Good luck.

Hi All, If you guys could please share your knowledge of any new(ish) online SLP programs. Please past links below! I'm looking to apply to any newer online programs created in lets say the last 5 years. I'm going online because I work full time in education and I think it's considerably less competative. Plus I live in California where it's virtually impossible to get into any physical schools. Please post and help a fellow wannabe SLP. Thanks! PS. My background below if you're curious Currently working as a speech specialist under an emergency credential (pm me if you want to know more) 2 years experience as a education specialist in public schools k-12 2.8 GPA Postgraduate Certificate in SLP from University College London 3.1 GPA BA in Psychology 4.0 GPA in Postbacc SLP program at Portland State U. 9 credits 3.0 GPA in Graphic design 4 year career in graphic design GRE 150 verbal 145 Math hence my hesitation to apply to regular schools. i'm no brainiac.
