  1. Public Relations 101 -- always release bad news on a Friday so you have the weekend to prepare a response to the reaction I assume we'll get it as late as possible.
  2. I am for The London School of Economics -- think we have one more for sheffield in here -- good luck!
  3. Good luck sleeping tonight, everyone
  4. Can today just be the day for the rest of us?!!
  5. I can't imagine it's a bad thing that they asked your Fulbright affiliate to rank your application -- at the same time, my guess is that they do that for all applicants. I get the feeling that your school has a strong input on who gets the Fulbright (it's my guess that if the school is trying to promote a certain department, they will lobby fulbright to select a candidate from that program, given there is an application for it and it is high quality.... could just be my own personal conspiracy though). Which school did you apply for? Have you been admitted? I am going to London School of Economics -- was already admitted last year but deferred. According to the statistics, LSE seems to have the most fulbright applicants 1/60ish two years ago and 1/48 before that. Noticed some UK schools only have 4-5 applicants.
  6. I would assume the countries already know -- maybe the Czech Republic jumped the gun, but maybe that means we'll know today or tomorrow! Really hope that means you're officially a semi-finalist, if so congrats! Couldn't imagine getting that email first without confirmation from IIE
  7. When the results come in -- does it come through your advisor at your Uni? There's no fulbright page I should be obsessively refreshing, correct?
  8. Yeah -- you're right, actually. Just looked again. Maybe it's not a good sign for my application that I can't even correctly read dates Guess if they didn't put the 2017/18 cycle up, we won't see 2018/19
  9. So has anyone discovered where they are hiding the 2018/19 application statistics? I heard last year they posted fairly soon after the deadline -- this year, not so?
