  1. I'm going to be deferring my enrollment to BU so if anyone's on the wait-list you may have something coming at you.
  2. I asked BU about it. They said the scholarship may not carry over but they try their best to do it.
  3. perhaps just the acceptances with the fellowship are out? maybe the last thing they send out are people who got in but without fellowship
  4. A lot of the MICA People live in the copy cat building. Its a pretty sweet artist community in an old warehouse and can be pretty affordable. they're huge rooms that are very unfinished and usually split between a lot of people. so if you don't need a ton of luxury its a solid option if you can find a spot opening up
  5. HA! yeah I'll take a hard pass on that one! I also stayed with a current student. He had a sweet spot that he said was super affordable. however it was an hour train ride from the school (honestly wouldn't bother me). But he had also been living in Boston for a few years prior to attending BU so definitely had the 'in' I'm praying, decision time is coming down the line fast
  6. i feel ya. I'm really digging on the program it's just so hard to find an affordable room. like where are all the broke students who are sharing rooms and packing people in an apartment to pay cheap(er) rent?
  7. Hey Ya'll I'm gonna toss this out here. I've been accepted into the MFA program at BU. I'm searching for housing and am looking to do whatever I can to make it affordable (sharing rooms ect.) so if anyone here is hunting and would be down to look together, or has a spot open or any suggestions drop me a line!
  8. BU Acceptance!! I guess we hear about any possible funding this week??
  9. Heads up that sculpture at Edinboro extended their deadline to March. So don't expect to hear back for a while...
  10. I've heard from Boston U and received an interview in painting. Anyone else bummed about IU Bloomington not taking painters? As a side note for anyone looking for last second apps to send out, the MFA at the program where I am for my BFA (Edinboro University PA) is still open until March and is a great figurative painting program. Faculty includes graduates of Yale, SVA, BU, Cornell, Syracuse, NYAA and Berkeley. Guaranteed tuition waiver+ GA with stipend. It's really unheard of which I think is a shame. Also still open for print, metals and sculpture. http://www.edinboro.edu/academics/schools-and-departments/graduate-studies/programs/painting/ peep myself and some of the current painters on the gram Benfrederickart Bradleympaintings Shane_eugene yurie.h.1221
