Yeah, the rough part with some programs is that they will send out rejections alphabetically. So you'll think you're safe one day, but the next they will reject you as they're simply making their way down the list. USC, for instance, has been known to do this.
British Columbia has released acceptances and rejections for both their Phd and MA programs.
Also, I'm curious why some fields are colored with no date, while others are not colored without a date. Any clarification would be helpful.
Thanks for putting this together.
Most applicants I've been in contact with in years past have asked where they were on the waitlist almost immediately. I think that sort of thing is expected. The only reason a program might not want you doing this—or might think it unhelpful—is if their waitlist in unranked (some are seperated by AOI, and then are ranked accordingly, and so they won't know where they will need to pull from early on).
I just wanted to take the time to thank the applicant who rejected the offer from Ohio State in such a timely manner. Friendly reminder: if you *know* you will not take an offer---perhaps, given your other offers---decline that offer asap, for the sake of the department in question and your fellow applicants. Every year alot of people sit on offers they know they won't take; don't be like them.
Anyone have a clue when British Columbia will waitlist, or if they've already done so? I'm anxious as I haven't been on the receiving end of their rejections nor their acceptances.
Agreed. This year posts have been abysmally infrequent. Moreover, posts here have been very disorganized (e.g., introducing new topics in threads that are unrelated). In any case, I really wish people would post their results (here or in the results page). Part of the problem, I'd imagine, has to do with very low traffic on this site as compared with years past.
