Has anyone received an acceptance to George Washington's English PhD program? I only see rejections and waitlists on the board?

Anybody been ghosted by Columbia? How should I read not having received a response yet?

Hi all, I haven't been a regular poster, but I just wanted to say a BIG thank you for forming the kind of community you guys do. Like the Yale poster said, GC can be super anxiety inducing (for no fault of the people posting on GC), but I have known it to be a very supportive, encouraging and warm community too. Thank you for being the people you are and I hope we cross paths in our academic careers or outside of them!

What do people think about attending the Graduate Center, CUNY for an English PhD? What is the culture like? Job placements? Any knowledge about the quality of the program would be appreciated. Hearsay or actual firsthand experience are welcome.
