I also applied but have already decided on a program.. (especially as Hunter is deciding so late in the game). I have heard that it is REALLY intense lasting even 2-3 hours. I have also heard from my professors that they really want you to know your stuff about diversity. Sometimes there may be a written portion regarding certain situations. I don't mean to stress you out but I want you to get an idea of what you should expect. I assume if you are in this field you have the aptitude to discuss diversity, just speak with conviction and passion.

Hi everyone! So I recently asked my top school to match my financial aid offer for a separate school. My top awarded me 16k per year and the other school offered me 20k per year. They said they would definitely reevaluate my offer but I am nervous. Would they take away funding? I mentioned I was so grateful (which I am) but that extra 4k per year would definitely help.

I have a separate tab for my financial award on the portal which I also noticed before my acceptance e-mail! It wasn't included in the e-mail and I did not receive the letter yet!
-
Yup, this section for me says "congratulations on being accepted", I think it appeared close in proximity to my e-mail.

I originally wanted to be a clinical psychologist but the field is just way too competitive. Over time I also realized I really don't like research THAT much and would dread the thought of doing it every day. I would much rather go into a clinical practice.

I applied to the 2 year full time program! I'm assuming they're doing prioritizing advanced, then 2-year, then so on.
-
I submitted 2/2 and it was completed 2/5

Sure! Please just don't measure yourself up to it! I may have a good packet but I definitely missed out a lot on college experiences and getting to truly enjoy myself (I've been stressed out my four years!) The only thing it really helped me with was securing aid which I couldn't afford without. GPA: 3.92 double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice and am at the top 10% of my graduating class. I did not take the GRE. I've had two internships in working with sexual assault and domestic violence victims. I was a teacher's assistant for a class and I also have an on campus job. I'm President of my college's LGBTQ+ club and have been extremely active in the college community and working with administration around LGBTQ issues. I also identify as LGBTQ which may have leaned in my favor. I have done Psychology research my past four years at my institution and secured a highly competitive fellowship at Duke University.. one of my recommendations was from there. In general, I had really glowing reccs and a well written personal statement that I agonized over for several months.

I was accepted as well! I was notified at 1AM this morning!! I am not attending however.
-
Thank you so much!! I would’ve loved to go to either but fortunately my boyfriend got a job near Philly so it’s so much cheaper to live with him. Hang in there, you’ll find your home!
-
I’m so sorry to hear that. BU gave me 20k in scholarship, but I am declining so I’m hoping it will go to you or someone else!!
-
BU emailed me at 1AM and BC emailed me at 11AM.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share I got accepted to BU and BC this morning! Officially choosing UPENN as I received the highest award!
-
also by MAIL? I was told over and over it would be by e-mail. This is really cutting it close. At this point I'm planning on accepting a different program but am still curious on my acceptances from BC and BU.
-
So I totally just realized I never submitted my Financial Aid Application to BC... but i did submit my FAFSA. Was I supposed to submit the application before acceptance?
-
A few of us in the BC forum have been ranting about this. We're all waiting on BC and BU. I personally have asked for extensions from other schools and time is running out. I'm planning on accepting UPenn as I received a 36k scholarship. It's getting kind of ridiculous waiting on these schools after being told 3-6weeks when its been WAY over.
-
*correction: its my 7th week. ahhh! to another week of refreshing my email every hour and being sad at 5pm lol
-
I would get an idea of what programs you're applying to before you take the test. None of my programs required GRE scores, BUT that means they place a larger emphasis on your experience and personal statement. I personally have a great package in terms of GPA/internships/writing so it wasn't something I had to consider. THAT being said, it is always a good idea to take it anyway as certain programs do require it as well as if you plan on obtaining a PhD in the future. Not taking it will save you a lot of money and time spent studying, but I would do what is best for you. Long story short, I don't know typical scores as I didn't take it, but I wanted to offer these words of wisdom.

I SHOULD be hearing back from BC this week as today marks my 6th week.
-
I’m very closing to accepting my offer to UPenn. I already asked for an extension that ends early April. Asking for ANOTHER would just look bad. I really want to consider BU/BC but this is cutting it really close. I wonder if their spring breaks might be affecting this process.

still nothing 5 weeks now
-
I'm so sorry to hear that. You will find a school that best fits you and values you Did they email or mail you if I may ask?
-
I applied 2/2!
-
STILL haven't heard back from BC or BU. Kind of frustrating but I'm only in 4 weeks so it looks like I'll be waiting more

I applied to BU I believe Feb 8th and BC Feb 2nd. I called BC and they said they’re sending out small batches of decisions every week. I’ve been accepted to UPenn and just want to see my other aid packages before I accept
