Good to know re: IU - I don't know that I'd get a TA-ship in the HCI dept. since this is a career change for me but maybe in a different department where I could use my undergrad knowledge. Kind of was hoping for that at Michigan but none of their available GAships have been in my field so that hope is dying. But I totally understand how you're feeling. I mean, there's also the fact that other institutions have the April 15 decision date that they don't have. What are you supposed to do? Email daily and hope that they give you some aid within the next 3 weeks so that you can make a decision? The power balance here is tilted in their favor especially with providing the funding so late in the game. -

Yup, IU did make it seem that way! I guess I'm going to have to put them on my list as I reapply for next year. I heard Bentley gives a 40% discount too so that's somewhere else I'll be applying. It's going to suck having to bother my recommenders again but I guess the silver lining is I can say I did get accepted but didn't get any money so they know I'm not a lost cause haha. -

Someone asked about funding status on the FB page and a UMSI rep replied that a funding update will be sent this week. They also said this about admission decisions : "We are continuing to send decisions as they are available. We received a significant increase in applications this year and it has caused some unexpected delays. We recognize it is a stressful process and we appreciate your patience as we continue to review and send decisions in the coming weeks." So I guess hang in there for all of us? -

Nope. Still waiting on that and it is killing me. I'm international by the way. They said on the FB page 1 to 2 weeks so by the end of this week, i'll be 2 weeks for me. I'm worried because I saw on the accepted page that some folks had already gotten their funding award so I dunno. Maybe it'll pop up tomorrow since the admission came on a Friday.
