I got an acceptance to Akron from my Person of Interest. Very happy, at least I am going to grad school no matter what!
 
I also heard from Old Dominion about an interview day.
 
Still no word from the December deadline unis.

I'm still praying I get at least one or two. There's still a good chunk of schools I haven't heard from yet, and do I have a visit weekend planned in March. 

Anyone else having a real tough time trying to be optimistic? 

Don't you all just wish we could fast forward ahead to mid-March? All of our pressing questions would be answered by then, and we could start picking destinations. 

A man can dream lol. 

@OddIsEven  congrats on the successful interview! Usually, I find interviews scarier in theory than they really are.

So update to my situation. I got word from the head of the I/O program at Albany and she told me it is the first time this has happened. She told me they never accept people before they get funding but they were impressed by my application so I can consider myself "accepted" but they don't know if they can fund me or who my advisor will even be.
What a weird situation all around.

Also, did anyone applying to LSU also interview today? In addition, who is your POI?
