Hi! I also got into Laurier 2 year on campus and can relate to this so much. I am definitely accepting but it is really expensive!! Do you know if there are any scholarships etc that we may qualify for? Going to try and go that route if possible. Plus OSAP

I did an in-depth search! Nothing yet on FB. Also thank you for that link! Very informative. I am now down the rabbit hole looking at all the course descriptions haha.

I have accepted my offer and I've already received a couple of different emails but nothing about placements yet. I will definitely let you know if I get an email regarding potential placement agencies. It sounds like you can even propose an agency if there is somewhere you have in mind.
This is so exciting! Was this taken from Laurier’s MSW main page? I didn’t see it.

I accepted another offer at Laurier as I awaited the MSW news because they required a response by March 7 and I wasn’t sure if I would get into the MSW. I was told that I can take back my acceptance as long as I make a decision between the two programs by April 25. So I think it is safe to accept the Laurier offer with the possibility of backing out for U of T down the line...there will be a waitlist and someone will take your spot at Laurier ?

Hey, no it was not. It was for an MA in sociology. I have not received any information about the online program which is kind of bizarre considering it starts in less than 4 weeks. Has anyone heard?

Thank you all so much! This is crazy! Yep definitely can't concentrate on anything today lol. Just met my husband for a congratulatory lunch...This has been many years in the making and I feel like this is so big for our family! I am soooo excited to meet all of my classmates. You all seem like such kind and supportive people. This forum has been an invaluable resource during these stressful weeks of waiting. I am sending everyone good vibes and hoping that the rest of you receive good news soon. I really wish they wouldn't drag it out!
I finished uploading all of my documents on January 8th...so about a week before the deadline. My last name begins with M. My LORIS account has not changed. I have received another MA offer from Laurier and they stated in my MSW admission letter that I can only have one offer out at once on LORIS. I have to contact the graduate office directly and have them remove the other offer to accept this one. I will say that when I got my other offer LORIS changed immediately - at the same time that I received the email.

I just received my offer of admission to Laurier’s Two-Year Full Time on campus program!!! Truly a dream come true. In total shock.

Honestly!! And no one has heard anything from the part time program at all. No idea what the deal is there. Been getting incorrect answers on when decisions would be made since the beginning!! Oh well! Will keep hoping ?

I said that my preference is the full time program which is true. I also said I would happily attend either. I don’t think that is what it means! I think a lot of people applied to both. I have no idea why I got that email but I don’t think my application is better than anyone else’s based on what I have read on here ? Try not to lose hope. Although I am starting to haha

I think so!! I applied to both and got an email two weeks ago about which I would prefer. I feel like they were trying to put me in one or the other applicant pool and I would not be considered for both.

Nothing! This is a big gap between emails. If I remember last year I received my rejection within a few hours of people being accepted. I guess we will see

Well officially panicked!!! But CONRATS to everyone who is getting in to Laurier! I am not sure how it works but how come we don’t all get emails at once? So much more painful this way!! I told myself after last year I would never do it again yet here I am ?. This is for sure my last time haha. Need that email!

No problem at all! The person who called is an advisor for the PT online program. She did mention that is has been an extraneous decision making process for both the full and part time programs but that the decisions should go out next week (part time program for sure, got the impression that full time will as well).

The deadline to accept is the 24th but I accepted this morning. I have seen several people say they will decline though! My guess is waitlist people will start being called after the 25th. Good luck!!!
