@swarthmawr i don't think it's an implied rejection if you didn't get the webinar invite. The email is from the Office of Diversity, and I can't recall if the Yale app had an optional diversity statement of sorts... but it may pertain to optional sections that were filled out/ checked off in the app.
@Warelin interesting! Thanks for showing me this thread. They gave us an itinerary and everything with faculty/student meetings scheduled in so I assume that’s their opportunity to ask us about our research.
@victoriansimpkins I wouldn’t consider it an implied rejection. I don’t even like how loosely the term is used on the forum because so many factors could change regarding who’s accepted into a program. A rejection is never a rejection until you get that official letter.
I posted regarding Northeastern's welcome invitation. They've invited some applicants to visit the campus for what they call a ""pre-admission welcome" in order to make a more informed decision about going there should we receive an acceptance.
@Pnwonder I applied to literary studies! Also, @WildeThing I lied... lol I didn’t apply for the Afro-Am bridge program. I confused this with another school. After reading I realized the program offered an MA which I know I didn’t opt for given that I have an MA already.
Thank you @Matthew3957 , @illcounsel, and @mandelbulb! Also I can confirm that @Warelin is correct about the order in which acceptances are sent out regarding the PhD program. Not quite sure about the MA. I received an acceptance email from the DGS, however, my portal still says "awaiting decision," so I'm guessing that they notify early via email first before posting acceptances .
It's about that time I suppose! I was notified via email from the chair of graduate studies of my acceptance to U of Illinois- Urbana Champaign PhD program...."champaign" befits this evening's festivities for me! Good luck to everyone...it's getting real!
Hi everyone! Long time lurker here! I posted the UIUC acceptance. Still in utter shock. I applied to many, many programs and I'm surprised that the first one I've heard back from is an acceptance.
