It depends on your interests but I personally I gained most of my experience at Stonehenge Therapeutic Community in Guelph. Its a treatment centre for adults with drug and alcohol addictions. You can be a behavioural counsellor out of undergrad and there's so much professional development and opportunity for growth.

Absolutely! I'm currently living in Guelph so getting to stay here since Laurier's campus is in Kitchener rather than relocate is a big plus for me. I am also really interested in trauma and Laurier offers a trauma certificate (as well as a variety of other certificates that are discounted for Laurier students) so I'm really looking forward to completing that!

I've officially been accepted to both the Laurier and U of T 2 year programs! I'm leaning towards Laurier so there will most likely be a spot open at U of T!

Does anyone know if U of T gives out entrance scholarships? Did anyone accepted for the 2 year program receive funding?

Hey, I talked to admissions about this, and the only reason they suggest getting it in by the first is to give your references more time. Submitting it later doesn't affect your application at all other than that!
