  1. Hi guys. I just gave my GRE a few days back and got an unofficial score of 303. (Quants- 150, Verbal - 153) (Not a great score,IK. TBH, my projected score in Magoosh was 310-319. I freaked out during my test). I just want to know if there's any universities in this list that would still accept this score. Boston University Georgia Institute of Technology New York University Ohio State University Purdue University Rutgers Texas A & M University University of California - Irvine University of California - Los Angeles University of Chicago University of Colorado Boulder University of Illinois - Chicago University of Massachusetts - Amherst University of Minnesota University of North Carolina University of Southern California University of Texas - Austin University of Utah University of Virginia University of Wisconsin - Madison I know the list is ambitious but I want to know if there's any chance or if I should start looking further down.
  2. Hi guys. This is my first essay. It is a bit short. I have given the prompt and the answer below. Please evaluate and do give your feedback. Prompt: Science and technology will one day be able to solve all of society’s problems. Write a response to the prompt in which you discuss whether or not you agree or disagree. Be certain to fully develop your position and carefully consider ways in which your position could be challenged. Answer: I do agree to an extent with the given statement. Science and Technology have been the solution to many of the problems that society has faced throughout time. For example, take the Plague or any of the diseases that humankind has faced. They have almost eradicated humans. Had it not been for Science, we would not have found a cure for the disease and saved ourselves. Technology has also played a vital role in solving society's problems. Earlier, people used fire signals to communicate over long distances. Any news had to travel for many days before they reached the intended recipient. Due to the growth of technology, we are able to communicate with people halfway across the world within seconds. This demonstrates how powerful technology can be. We have made strides in both fields since then. Now, society is plagued with a new set of problems like global warming, fickle economies, lack of medical treatment. Consider global warming, Science has helped us to find better solutions that are environmentally sustainable and cleaner. Technology has helped us find alternate fuels, new energy sources. It has also helped spread awareness about the alarming state of our planet. It has helped connect people around the world rally for a better solution. Technology has helped take medicine to almost every nook and cranny. Remote medicine is finding its holding and has helped people in inaccessible places, get proper medical treatment. Take Google Brain for example, doctors and engineers have worked together to create a system that analyses diseases with improved accuracy. It has helped cancer patients get an early diagnosis and effective treatment methods. The world may not be an Utopia right now but it can solve the problems that we face, only if Science and Technology go hand-in-hand.
