  1. I have spent probably way too much time thinking about outfits, but really want to just confirm on here that this is acceptable for an interview: 1) dark plum/purple suit jacket, 3/4 sleeve around mid-forearm - I think it still looks put together, and it makes me feel more alive than black blazer, but worry about the sleeve length. 2) light purple blouse, covers up to the neck 3) black trousers, fitted 4) black flats Thoughts??
  2. How normal is it to not have heard back at all from 20 out of 21 schools yet (one sent out rejection already)? Just trying to brace myself for the harsh reality...
  3. Spoke with a professor today who is on the admissions committee, and just wanted to share this since I know everyone is anxiously anticipating news (maybe you already know this too but figured it might bring some peace of mind). He reminded me that a lot of factors go into the decision of whether a student gets accepted of not, beyond numbers, letters, GPAs etc. Even when a faculty says he/she is taking a student, sometimes there's already too many students in the lab. If other faculties at the university are more open to taking students that year, the ones who already have a number of students might be less inclined to take on new students. Sometimes the direction of their research is changing, and it's hard to gauge that based on past publications. That being said, you may be a stellar applicant, but things just don't line up during a particular cycle. TLDR: Keep your heads high! Some factors are out of our control.
  4. School: University of ToledoType: Clinical Psychology, PhDDate of Rejection/Method: Dec. 18th, 2018, via e-mail (official letter to come)How are you coping: Certainly disappointed, but trying to remind myself that at least I put in the effort, and by applying I had more than a 0% chance. Rejection is a hard pill to swallow, but all good things in life come with time. Anddddddddd, we wait. I hope you guys are doing okay!
  5. Do we know how accurate this website is? I saw UDel should have notified by 12/14 but haven't seen posts about interviews yet.
  6. Did anyone else hear from UToledo or Penn State for clinical psych? I saw some posts on the results page, and the current state of mood is anxiously excited. ?
  7. Yep! Mine looks like the image you attached! Probably just the department sorting all the flood of applications they got, but I'm just too impatient for the system haha
  8. Went back a little to dig for the post about this! Thanks for the clarification -- I was wondering why on earth they are not more clear about who is taking students and who is not. I agree, I def snoozed on this one. Good suggestion, and if the admissions also does not know I may just take the gamble and apply even if I do not know who is taking the students next fall. ?
  9. Thanks @ResilientDreams for the reassurance!!! I swear I probably would not have been able to sleep that night thinking about "incomplete" applications. Also, anyone with experience reaching to Harvard POIs? I realized I made a note in my planning that the website does not indicate who is planning to take students in Fall 2019, but forgot to follow-up with the faculty individually. Is it too late to reach out now? I'm still super interested and have read about their works in the past month but worry it looks bad to now reach out with deadlines coming up.... Harvard is definitely a reach^3 school for me imo, but still want to try to apply!
  10. Hi all, this is my first time applying (and using the forum). Just a question for everyone who's applied to Temple -- you were only supposed to upload the person statements and LORs on interfolio right? I just went onto my Temple account and noticed that the application says I did not submit letters or personal statement. PANICKING (sorry I'm all nerves now).
