  1. Sending warmth and positive vibes to everyone who has been going through this process! This was my second round of applications and while I am so grateful and excited about my acceptance this year, I know how incredibly painful a process it can be :( Congratulations to those who have received their acceptances, and to those who may be waiting or will be applying again next year, I'm sending strength your way!! Keep your hopes up!! It's not over until it's over :)

    School: York University

    Concentration: Clinical Psychology

    Type: MA

Date of acceptance: Unofficially March 25, 2019; Officially March 27, 2019

Notified by: Call from POI on March 25, 2019, and received official offer letter from Graduate Program Secretary March 27, 2019

Any other York folks out there?? :)

    Hey everyone!

I thought I would finally join the conversation here, as I've been lurking these threads for months :) I'm currently in my last year of undergrad at UofT doing my honours thesis and I have applied to SCCP at OISE, York (I've been rejected), and Ryerson. I've also applied to the MA of child study and education at OISE (teaching program) and MSW at UofT.

I honestly won't be surprised if I don't get in anywhere my first year applying. I was wondering if anyone has heard of Adler University in Toronto? Apparently you can get your masters in psych and it prepares you to be registered with the college of psychologists of Ontario. The only downfall is, though, the tuition is almost $50k for the two years and the classes are only on the weekends...

Hey! I've given a lot of thought to and gathered a lot of info on Adler. There are so many pros and cons, but I think determining whether it is a good decision for you comes down to many, many different factors. I am happy to talk about this further with you if that may be helpful! Feel free to DM me.

Same same! What can ya do

I'm sorry to hear, pals!!! I love the support that is coming from this page though - the transparency about rejections and successes is helpful. Feels good to have a group to go through this with! It's my second round of applications and it's feeling pretty demoralizing at the moment lol

@higaishaand @neurocait, was the UBC-V, may I ask whether it seemed to be mass email that was sent out? Just bracing myself!!

Yes! I actually just completed my undergrad there and have close ties with lots of faculty, especially forensic - if anyone has any questions about any aspect of the program please feel free to email me! I was just on the phone with an undergrad PI that is involved in the admissions process this morning and she let me know that they do not even have a shortlist of candidates to interview yet and they definitely won't be sending invites out until late next week. So don't worry! ?

YOU ARE A HERO<3 Thank you so much for this - you totally just eased my mind! Great to hear, and hopefully we'll hear back next week!

Good luck to everyone who has an interview coming up--and for those who are still waiting, don't lose hope yet :)

I found this while checking out the 2018 threads, and found these to be similar to the questions I was asked in my interview. Clinical Psychology Potential Interview Questions: http://www2.tulane.edu/sse/psyc/news-and-events/archive/upload/InterviewQuestions.pdf Thought this might be a good starting point!

This is a fabulous list - thanks for circulating!!
