I will be attending Temple in the fall of 2019 for a Criminology PhD

I was told in my funding letter that I will either be attached to a research lab or will be assigned classes to TA for from my department.

Taking a funded position at Temple $19k with health insurance and full tuition coverage.

Got offered the funded position at Temple today!

We’ll see, I do hope so

What was your Temple answer?

I really think they are trying to get me a funded position. I actually talked to Jerry Rattcliffe today and he told me he wouldn’t even let me come and work with him if it wasn’t a funded position because it would be too much of a burden.

Yeah, my mentors told me I really shouldn’t accept an unfunded position. I was just excited when I wrote that so I feel now as if I won’t accept it if it is unfunded.

Just got an email from Dr. Groff at Temple saying that I am not offered one of the funded positions right now, but in the next few weeks they hope that I will be! I guess I’m on the waitlist for a funded spot. I may still go even if I don’t get funded.

I mean I get it, free alcohol

My mentors and other faculty all ended up there because of the free alcohol

And Rutgers has that open bar!

The cost of the entire process to be honest, and I felt out where my best chances were at ASC.
