It sounds like your undergrad degree is very applicable to the field! And I wouldn't worry too terribly much about having "middle of the road" stats because that is very common. If you don't get in right away there is a really good chance you will be accepted off the wait list!
I applied to 5 schools, was rejected from 2, and am waitlisted at 3. I'm very hopefully that I'll get into one! But it doesn't feel good to be in this position
My concern might be silly, it just seems like everyone on here was either waitlisted or accepted. It's frustrating that the school won't share any waitlist rank information with us. It would be nice to know if there is even a chance that we might get in.
I was recently waitlisted at Idaho State University, but after looking at past results it worries me that everyone is who is not admitted is waitlisted initially. Does anyone know if this is the case? They don't give out information about the waitlist so I really have no idea where I stand at this point.
I'm dealing with exactly the same problem unfortunately. I hope you end up getting in somewhere, I truly think that it is unfair that csdcas doesn't care about retaken classes when calculating gpa. In my opinion retaking a class shows commitment and resiliency.
Has anyone had the experience of their CSDCAS GPA being significantly lower than the GPA on transcripts? Do schools that use CSDCAS look at the original transcripts at all? I failed some non-college level math courses years ago and CSDCAS is counting them in my GPA calculations. I am worried that schools will throw out my applications without looking at them beyond this GPA.
