Thank you so much! I will be going to the visit day as well so I will most likely see you there. But I am coming from a crim background so I applied to a couple of criminology programs and I chose Iowa because the professors in their criminology department matched my research interests so I am very excited! However, I got rejected from Northeastern's Ph.D. in criminology but got accepted into their Masters and I am just waiting on two other schools.

I got into the University of Iowa as well! What are you hoping to study and are you going to be attending the visit day? What is your top choice? Also, I agree with this sentiment, I have a good GPA (3.77) but a horrible GRE score, so yes don't sell yourself short! But congrats on your acceptances! I'm sure you'll get into more.

I applied to Temple as well and haven't heard anything back from them yet so we're both on the loop but I don't think I was a good fit for the program so I probably did not get accepted, but I heard they are still going to be sending out notices through the first week of February so don't give up hope yet!

I don't believe so, I think that as long as other aspects of your application are strong, you should have no problem getting in!

Where did you all apply to? Don't lose hope! That's a lot of programs you're applying to and I am sure you will get into one of them!

I think they are going to be sending out acceptances/rejections all this week and maybe even further out. I wouldn't give up hope quite yet! I was about to give up hope and then I got accepted into a Sociology program with full funding so you'll just have to keep waiting and see. I'm sure you'll get in somewhere!!

Northeastern’s decisions/interviews were sent out today, well at least mine was, I got accepted into the masters with a scholarship but rejected from the PhD :/
