Just rejected my offer from U of T. As much as I wanted to go to Munk, I decided against taking on the financial burden/debt esp. considering the health of the economy atm. Accepted Queen’s since its only one year and is half of the cost with the co-op option seeming better for transitioning into the workforce. Anyone else feeling a bit anxious about starting in September due to the COVID-19 situation? -

I received an offer of admission from Munk today. It did not mention funding and neither did my offer from Queens. I accepted Queens offer since the deadline to do so was early March and I confirmed with the coordinator that the deadline to submit the deposit is in June. Queens has always been my first choice but now I’m considering Munk instead (mostly because I want to stay close to home). Knowing more about funding from both schools would be helpful but not sure when they give out funding info. Any thoughts or advice? I have read the past responses comparing Carlton/Ryerson and U of T’s program. Would Queens and U of T compare similarly in terms of international opportunities and the “value” of the degree? -

I received an offer of admission from queens last week. Still waiting on u of t and ryerson. Anyone know when u of t usually sends out their first round of admissions? -

Haven't heard back either ?. I'm hoping it's going by application submission timing. I submitted mine 2 hours before the 4pm deadline on February 1st.

From what I read in the previous years' thread, Mac's program is more business oriented whereas U of T's is more organizational. Apparently, that was what one of the interviewers from the MHI program said.

My status changed to under review a few days ago as well. As for experience, I'm still completing my undergrad in gerontology and health at McMaster and have 1.5 years of experience working in a long-term care environment. Also have 1.5 years of accumulated experience at health related NPOs and have done academic placements at a LHIN and in public health. I still feel like even getting an interview is a long shot due to my lack of full-time work and IT/informatics experience. ?
