Did you send an email about funding to your department? I didn't apply to UNC-Chapel Hill, but one of my friends entered there four years ago without funding and having a lot of trouble in her finance....

Thank you for sharing. I've heard the answer directly from the coordinator that they can't guarantee the funding. (Also told that my advisor will be assigned after I make a decision -enroll to UT Austin.) It'll vary according to the program as you say, but oh well. Even, student day? That's quite news to me... I guess I wasn't an impressive applicant! Still, I should wait until early March and make a decision. Thanks a lot! ???

First, I am an international student who applied to the Graduate School of Education, 2019 Fall. Can you share your funding situation? I have been accepted to Texas Austin, Ohio State, and Connecticut and else, but no funding information at all. It makes me hard to choose a school. In particular, Austin says that they can't guarantee the fund including TA, GRA. Is it unusual for a Ph.D. in education to study with funding? Will it be possible to get an assistantship after enrolling the school?

I'm glad I found this thread. Did anyone accept the offer from UT Austin college of education? They said, they could not guarantee the funding for a ph.d. student. Is it common?

I also applied to UCI in education, LLT program. Didn't get any news.
