  1. In at Ryerson, for all of those still waiting, they seem to be sending out acceptances today
  2. I didn't get an email, but the $500 deposit was acknowledged on my ACORN.
  3. Oh, completely agreed. I think that is where a lot of people go wrong. Degrees only get you so far. It is what YOU make of it. Good evaluation there
  4. From what I have heard, it leads to higher initial pay. Also, Munk has a lot of ties with the private sector. More opportunity.
  5. Honestly, the prestige. I can personally attest to this, anyways. It is what led me here as an undergrad, and it is what compelled me to accept munk. I gotta say, it is not worth the stress sometimes though.
  6. Hey! How do you feel about the MPP program? Any advice to a future MPP'er?
  7. Thanks so much!! Those are really strong stats/EC's. Good job!
  8. Most likely ya!! I am just doing some reading up on the pros/cons of UofT vs Waterloo's MPS (hoping to get in there). But I am like 99% sure I will! SO excited Are you?
  9. IN AT MUNK!! I have been waiting so long to be able to post this. 3k scholarship from them. Stats: 81.5% average, extensive EC's, 4LOR's. I really did not think I would be able to do this or get in. To anyone out there reading this, YOU CAN DO IT. Just work hard. Congrats to everyone else and good luck to all (MPP not MGA)
  10. No it doesn't. I think this is because I am an undergrad at UofT right now, so they did not give me a new ACORN account.

  12. That's awesome!! Mind sharing your stats?
  13. Nothing. I'm starting to panic here. I don't think I have competitive stats, if I did it seems like I would have been in by now The anxiety is so bad LOL. Worst part about grad school apps is the waiting game. Hopefully Petra mixed up the weeks or something.
  14. Congrats! That's awesome Do you mind sharing your stats?
  15. Thanks! Well, I gave each course a corresponding GPA, and then averaged those out. Reason for my low GPA but high average is because one of my courses ended up being a 74, and I got two high 70's (3.0, and 3.3), so it kind of skewed everything down. But I am unsure if they will just take my % average and then give that a GPA which would be a 3.7, but if they give each grade a GPA then average that, I end up with 3.54. Hope this helps
  16. Hey all! Just posting here to try and cure some anxiety (not sure if me lurking these forums in the first place is good for it!). Stats: UofT Undergaduate; 81.5% average in final 2 years courses (but translates in GPA to 3.54, unless they take the % and then give me a corresponding GPA which in that case is a 3.7). President and Co Founder of a political student's association, political canvasser, 4 LOR's, and IMO, a very strong PS. I applied to Munk, Waterloo's MPS, and Ryerson's MPPA. Anyone have any word on my chances? I am freaking out, the anxiety is really killing me. Any acceptance would really really calm the nerves. Thanks to anyone who replies and good luck to all!!
  17. Referring to my final years courses. I'm just conflicted because I have an 81 average, so I am an A- student, but yet I am not sure if I will be viewed as one. This coming 4th and 5th I believe.
  18. Hey all! Just received an email from Petra, the administration lady for Munk's MPP program. Said we can expect to hear back Monday/Tuesday of next week. I'm freaking out here!! Anyone wanna give me some sort of idea on my chances? GPA: 81.5% --> on UofT's GPA scale it translates into a 3.54 -_-. President and Co-Founder of a Club at the University of Toronto, Campaign Canvasser for a Political Party, 4 LOR's (2 from professors, 1 from Library research head, 1 from Campaign Manager), and in my opinion, a very well written personal statement. Any ideas?? Best of luck to all the Munk MPP hopefuls out there! We got this guys
