Interesting. In previous years Northwestern always sent out acceptances first. Maybe they have a new procedure this year.

Me, waiting for notifications from PhD programs!

It's rough. One of the programs I'm waitlisted at has only two theory spots (two!) out of an applicant pool of 600. I'm guessing there were around 100 theory applicants, so that's like a 2 or 3% acceptance rate.

I applied last year and got a rejection the last week of February. ?

Also I called Northwestern again, and they send that their system is such that they have to send out decisions individually. Apparently it takes 5 minutes per application, and they have 500 applications, which means that it takes a while for all of them to come out. ?

Anyone heard anything from UBC?

Waitlisted at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor! Dear god, this is so nerve-wracking. Never thought I'd even be wait listed at such an amazing program. In shock.

If you get a large scholarship, definitely a good choice to do an MA at UChicago. But I wouldn't recommend taking a loan of tens of thousands for a 1 year MA. I'm glad I didn't do that. I went to another MA program with more generous funding.
