      Sorry to hear that, did you do alright on the Quantitative? That can make up for it.

      I am an international student and English is not my native language. I am not sure how much schools value the GRE verbal score but Duke University for instance, stated that they understand that it might be difficult for some international students to achieve high scores in the verbal section of the GRE. I got 720 in the quantitative section. I also hope my score in the TOEFL can help make up for it.

      Congrats on the high Quant score! The Verbal is really rough. I'm sure your AW score and SOP will help, as well as your TOEFL score.
