Another day with nothing for Houston. Gotta love the wait. Lol

@Fingers Crossed! From the Rhodes advisor for my university. She keeps a spreadsheet of it, I think. lol I haven't seen the spreadsheet myself, but she told me my district will often find out as late as exactly 2 weeks before.

I guess for my district it can be kind of common, but I’m not totally sure. Hopefully you are right!

Nothing from Houston for today.

On hearing of my Marshall denial, a prof. sent this to me. I found it helpful, and am writing my “failure CV” as we speak. Thought I would pass it on!

Maybe I’ll go as a rejection letter to my Halloween party tonight. ?

Nothing for my Rhodes, which is Utah. I guess my advisor was saying that my district always hears last though! Not really expecting to make it, but can’t help but hold on to a little bit of hope. PS: Congrats Btermite!! and thanks for the time info.

For Marshall, only 50% of applicants or so get an interview. Rhodes on the other hand, up to 80% do just depending on your district. Based on the numbers, getting a Marshall interview is actually, ironically, much harder than Rhodes. Also, just to satisfy my latent curiosity- does anyone want to upload a screenshot of their rejection email? I’m quite literally just curious what mine will look like. Lol. Sorry to all of you who did not make Marshall finals. To even make it this far means you are driven enough to do good in the world without it. Please remember that! Anybody else notice that notifications for Marshall are dropping at about 5PM in the timezone of the relevant committee? No? Just my over-analyzing self? fair enough. haha

Applications this year closed Oct. 2nd or so. It’s my first year applying, and no word either way yet! Which is kind of crazy considering I might need to be half way accords the country in 4-5 weeks! Anyone else apply and are now anxiously waiting?

Just got accepted today! Waiting for funding, and will definitely be calling bc one of my recommenders also submitted a day late.

Why did almost no one apply to IU? Positives/Negatives of the program?
