My status just changed to funding! Those who are still waiting, there is hope! 

Still application submitted here. Now, after months of waiting, I can understand how some people become serial killers. They were daad applicants waiting for an answer.

Does anyone know what can I do if I get the scholarship but don’t get admission to the programmes I chose when applying for a daad scholarship?

I have just received my award letter ?
I am applying for a phd from Egypt. At first, I received a message in 20 febraury informing me that the committee recommended me for the scholarship. Since 10 days, my status changed to selection made for several days then became blank for 1 day then changed to funding on the last Tuesday.
My language course will be in Koln starting in June.

I have applied for DAAD scholarship for summer school and last week my status got changed from selection made to funding. Does that means that I got the scholarship? What should I do? Do I need to write them an email because I didn't get an email from DAAD?

And almost a week later, they answered me through this email: Study-in-Germany@daad.de

Hello guys, this is the second time I applied to the scholarship for artistic talents. My status changed today from "selection made" to "application rejected". I didn't got an e-mail or anything, it will probably arrive later today. Even though I didn't got the scholarship,  I'm still planning on going to Germany and studying a master's degree in graphic design this year. If you are awarded the scholarship that's awesome! But if you don't, life still goes on and you can achieve your dreams on a different way, don't let that discourage you! Best of luck to everyone!

I don't understand what do you need.

I haven't got any email from DAAD portal regarding awardee letter but I got an email from DUO Course abt the language prep course online for DAAD EPOS awardee.
Did anyone get the same kind of situation?

Hi IceMan, thank for sharing that info, I really appreciate it. I think that we have to wait... On the other hand, how was the interview? What they did asked you? 

Any update about masters in fine arts?

Even here you can observe that only selection made changes to Funding. I’ve never met someone who got Funding after preselection.

I did met a person that went from preselection to funding, and other that went from paper copies received to funding, the application status means literally nothing. 

For future reference, in case anyone applying for the DAAD London scholarships looks back on this thread in future years:
My status for the DAAD Master's scholarship (all scientific disciplines, London) funding status has just changed from 'Application submitted' to 'Preselection made'. As far as I know, they held interviews at the beginning of this week - I wasn't invited, so I'm just waiting on the official rejection now. I can't remember my status changing to 'Preselection made' last year, but I know we got the rejection notice on the 9th April.
