The "Expected Family Contribution" number is not there offer. That is what they computed you family would be able to assist you. The loan info is what was offered to you.

So my portal updated a few days ago to "Pending interview" how long before they reach out with a day/time? Can anyone give me a time frame?

I just got a decision today actually and applied by the Feb deadline. I got waitlisted booo but hopefully you hear back soon

I did my research already too but I think since a lot is going on this year, it's a little different. I emailed them asking if the shelter in place would affect whether decisions would be mailed out and I got this this response, "Dear CSUEB MSW Program Applicant, We are very sorry to say that in the midst of the COVID-19 Shelter in Place order, we will be delayed in sending a letter regarding the status of your Fall 2020 admission application. Hopefully, the delay will not continue much beyond the Shelter in Place period. We value your application and will let you know the Department's decision as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and patience. Stay well and please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns. " So I think because the school closed down, we won't be hearing back for awhile! I applied for the community mental health concentration. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!

I wanted to ask if anyone knows why social workers don't have a national union? As future social workers what are your thoughts about this? I know that back in the day nurses were not being paid well until they advocated for higher wages and got unionized. I feel like social workers are often underpaid, overworked and undervalued. I feel like now more than ever we should be advocating for ourselves. Is there anything we can do about this? Anywho what do ya'll think about this? How do you feel going into the field the way things currently are? What would you like to see change, or improve?

Question? Did any of you get an email about FASFA? I got chosen for verification for SJSU and I have to submit some documents for it. Could this be an indicator of a good sign?? LOL I got accepted to u-wash and was also asked the same thing by the financial aid department. Maybe I'm reading too much into it

Hi, Still no word in the snail mail for me! I also dropped off my application in person but I'm also still really confused. Given the fact that from what the main office told me, they are starting to send out letters in the mail around this time now. What concentration did u apply to? Maybe since you had a professor who went there give you a letter of rec or the fact that you went there previously was why you got accepted early? How did the letter look like in the mail LOL was it a small letter or in one of those large envolopes? I'm also waiting on SJSU!!! I got accepted to u-wash but SJSU and East Bay are like my top.

I turned mine in Feb 10th. I was ready to submit earlier, but I had to wait to get my SJSU ID in order to submit the social work application. I applied to the Hybrid program. I have not heard back and someone who I work with also applied and has not heard back either. I think we will start hearing back around the end of march. when did you submit and apply?

Everyone is getting acceptance today and I'm still here.... have not heard ANYTHING! I cry

Really?? I called them yesterday and they told me they haven't mailed out anything yet b/c they have been swamped! They said they got over 200 something applications and that they only have 10 staff people going through every application by hand and that they determine that they won't start mailing anything until the end of March, but there's is a strong possibility that we won't hear anything until June. What is it?? I wanna know lol

Anyone here who applied to CSUEB? Is it true that they mail out their decisions and that's why it takes so long? I stalked some of the forums las year and saw that people started getting letters in the mail around Feb 23rd

Still haven't heard anything either, they did respond saying the May thing was a typo and that they make decisions up to Mid-March to get all decision out by the end of the March

So I got a response by email so it looks like they are open today FYI Here is what I was told " We push notifications out as soon as we are able throughout the months of Feb/Mar and promise all decisions by end of March. We have an extensive review process and the committee makes decisions through mid-May so notifications will go out in waves. Thank you, School of Social Work Admissions University of Washington phone (206) 543-5676 " I am just a little confused b/c A. they are saying they promise all decisions by end of march and B. the next sentence goes on to say decisions are made mid-may so notifications go out in waves? Well what is it then March?? May??

Yeaah, that would make more sense if we can expect all decisions to roll out today or tomorrow. But what if they did just randomly do it that way lmao, they be playing with our emotions. OOOF and I am not here for it. I already sent them an email and hopefully I get a response. If they aint open on the weekend, I'll wait till Monday.
