I'm tempted to call. Why would they release a few? Were those like the forsures and don'ts and the other applications are still being overlooked?

Ya'll I think I am about to sound REALLY dumb but I need to ask regardless, for those asking about financial aid packages/scholarships. How does that work in the application process? I'm really confused because I thought you would fill out your FASFA (for financial aid) and then request the schools that you are applying on there? Then the schools would see what your need is and give an offer based off that. Is this correct? I know that the FASFA deadline is coming up, so does this mean that everyone who applied for priority completed their FASFA earlier? How was this possible when employers have untill the end of Jan to send W-2 forms. Again, I feel like an idiot but I'm just confused. I'm the first in my family to ever apply to grad school and the whole financial aid thing can be confusing. Is it the same as undergrad? If anyone could explain that would be great! Sorry again but I really appreciate this forum. It has helped me out so much as a first gen applicant!

Hi there! I just wanted to say that I tot related to your message and share your concerns!!! I also struggled a lot with my health and had two surgeries during undergrad which resulted in me having to take health leaves from school in order to recover. I can only hope that they see our potential and heart and see everything we have accomplished despite our barriers. Do you by chance suffer from Endo, PCOS, PFD? I noticed u used "flare up" he he.

Hi there! I saw somewhere that they might be releasing decisions sooner. Feb 22nd to be exact!
-
Update on when we should hear back. I emailed admissions and was told, " The timing of admissions decisions varies every year. It depends on how many applications we receive, as well as how quickly students accept their admission offer to the program. Generally speaking, we start sending out the first admissions offers in March, but the letters could be sent out as late as mid-May depending on how fast the process goes." Really sad to hear that we won't hear till March or even later given the fact that we submited the applications in early December.

I read on the other thread that decisions might be coming out on Feb 22nd! Someone had called and asked so we might hear sooner. But that person also suggested calling in b/c they had applied late November.

Hello, Has anyone ever applied to loyola university of chicago msw program? Do you recommend it? It does not look really competitive but I was really interested in their MSW Online Bilingual program! It's weird because they even say you can submit it without actually filling it out completely and can finish it once you submit it? Also it's free to apply! So I just wanted some feedback for those who have done it, and what you thought? Anyone thinking of applying?

who is applying to SJSU? I heard that the hybrid program is the most competitive and that's they one I want but I will also settle for the 2 year campus option. Has anyone submitted their application? I can't believe they allowed a 3,000 word limit on their essays. That's a lot.

Question to those who were waitlisted and got accepted , did you you do anything additional to help? For instance writing a statement of continued interest?
