Big mood. I'm almost looking forward to that inevitable Harvard rejection, just so I can get closer to decision time. Yay, I'm so happy for you! -

I just received a rejection from Michigan. A little disappointing, but it wasn't my top choice. -

I am quite curious/anxious to know if UVA will be sending out more acceptances today. -

I'm thinking of calling Princeton if we don't hear anything by Wednesday morning.... The impatience is wearing on my nerves. -

There's a waitlist from Michigan on the board...? -

My impatience is climbing to new levels. ? I thought for sure at least one of my schools would notify today. -

I'm making some chocolate cake and raspberry sauce, because if I have to endure admissions uncertainty on Valentine's Day, I might as well do it while eating good food. -

Discussion of "Sir Gawain" reminds me of the time my undergrad university hosted a reading of the poem. One of my profs not only wore all green but also attempted to dye his face and hair green for the occasion. -

Cornell rejection. This one hurts. It was one of my favorite programs. -

I know! I want to start my decision-making process, but I'm still waiting on a bunch of schools, all of which are highly ranked and could be game changers. The uncertainty is very frustrating! -

Congrats! I did my BA at Rochester. They have some great resources for medievalists (assuming that is your subfield)! -

I don't anticipate an acceptance from Brown, as I don't think it's the best fit research-wise, but that won't stop me from watching my phone like a hawk for the rest of the afternoon. -

I feel this. I work an evening shift today, so right now I'm just sitting on the couch answering emails, reading, and getting an adrenaline rush every time my phone buzzes. -

I am waiting on nine schools, some of which I expect to notify this week. They are all prestigious programs, so I'm keeping my expectations low. I just want to have the full picture so I can start figuring out which program I want to attend. Out of my three acceptances, I have a top two (largely based on funding), but deciding between those two will be hard, since both programs have shown a similar level of enthusiasm about my work. And to think I spent most of January assuming that I would be shut out.... -

Lol it's actually thanks to one of my family members, who is very interested in my admissions journey and did some sleuthing to figure out when I might get the decision. -

I'm planning to attend the Penn State visit! I haven't made official arrangements yet, though. I have booked my plane tickets for WashU at the end of February, so that will be my first campus visit. -

My Yale disappointment was somewhat alleviated by an email from a prof at one of the programs that accepted me. They wrote to compliment my writing sample, the same WS I sent to Yale. It was a heartening message. -

I'll send you a request, too! I'm pretty active on Goodreads. Today I hope to start Affinity, by Sarah Waters. I've heard so many good things about her books, so I'm looking forward to giving her work a try. -

Yeah, I'm just marking it as an implied rejection and moving on. I wish they could send out the rejections more promptly. Same goes for Chicago.
