  1. Honorable mention.

    VG/E, G/E, VG/G

Reviewer 1 and 2 gushed about my broader impacts, but reviewer 3 said I didn't do enough and also misgendered me lmao

1 and 3 praised my proposal, but Reviewer 2 gave me a good because my project was too "ambitious".

    I hate this

I'm starting to think yesterday was the day they sent out all of the acceptances...expecting either a rejection or alternate email tomorrow evening.

I saw on Twitter that a few people announced they received awards today-- whether or not they got the email yesterday or today is unclear, but I'm staying positive B)

But still preparing for a rejection

Congrats to everyone receiving the NDSEG! Exciting.

Seems like I struck out this round. Applied to AFSOR for Cognitive and Computational Neurosciences (Cognitive, Neural, And Behavioral Sciences discipline). If anyone else did the same and has an update on the portal / received their award, let me know!

Also, if anyone who received an award is willing to share their personal statement / research proposal, that would be super helpful (want to know where I went wrong, what I can do better next round).

Thanks and congrats to awardees again!

    I don't think you've struck out yet--wait till Friday.

FYI I applied to Neuropsych of Coginition (Neural Computation) for ARO and haven't gotten any updates on my portal yet.

is it essentially impossible to pass the screening process & get an interview at a top-tier University (like UCLA) with a 3.4 GPA? Even though research experience may be more important, I'm seeing a pattern with the people who are getting interviews and their GPAs are all ~3.7 to 3.9

Ya boy right here has a 3.5 and got an interview at Princeton and Harvard thus far. I had the same concerns while applying, and a graduate student at the current institution I’m teching at told me that she also had a 3.5 when applying (2-3 years ago) and got in at Columbia, Harvard, MIT, etc. It’s not impossible, so long as your recs and research related things are in order.
