  1. Does anyone know how to schedule a financial aid appointment with University of Denver, or if that is an option? I'm visiting the school on March 9th, and have a meeting with someone from the school of social work, but I keep forgetting to schedule a financial aid appointment. I don't know if that's a thing, though, because I'm having trouble finding it on the website.
  2. So I'll be visiting both UMich and UDenver in just a couple of weeks! For folx who live in either of those areas, suggestions for restaurants, must-see places, etc.?
  3. Has anyone heard from UMich at all about dates for orientation/program schedule/start date?
  4. It was in my letter right after scholarship amount. But I haven't received any actual information about work-study or loans - or at least, I don't think I have.
  5. Hey friends. My acceptance letter for Denver says that I would be hearing about work-study/loan information in a separate communication via email, sometime in late February. Has anyone received it yet, and how was the email titled? I swear it came, but I'm not finding it so now I'm confused lol. I did get an email about webinars related to our concentrations and financial aid, so perhaps that's it?
  6. Hey there, does anyone know if University of Denver is willing to give out more financial aid and how to go about asking for more? I received an 11k scholarship, as well as federal loan and work-study aid, so I'm not sure if I would be able to ask for anything more? I saw up there that Michigan does a re-review, but I'm not sure how to go about talking to Denver.
  7. Thanks friend. I talked to my best friend after posting that (or maybe it was while, I dunno) and that definitely helped. I truly hope you enjoy the program - it really does look like an awesome school!
  8. Congratulations. I got an email as well, but it wasn't good news. ? At least I know now though, right? Wouldn't have wanted to wait until late March to learn they didn't want me anyway.
  9. For those who applied to University of Washington - So another email was sent out with the competitive placements for the CCIP and AAP concentrations. But I'm kind of confused about this whole process - one email said that all accepted students would be contacted by a field faculty member in late Feb/early March. And this email is saying only students who don't apply to a competitive placement will be contacted, correct? But also, we aren't supposed to apply until we hear back, and applications are due on 3/2? So when are we going to get our acceptance/can we actually apply - in late March, or when a field faculty member contacts us? Also, they said the applications are due a week after we receive a decision...in which case...we should be hearing back super soon?? Essentially, it doesn't seem like the case at all that we won't have a decision until late March - seems much, much sooner. I guess I shouldn't be complaining because I will be hearing back earlier than planned, but the whole process seems a bit unclear to me. Anyone else? Or am I overthinking... I don't even know if my ramble made sense. But I sent an email asking for some clarification about my questions above so hopefully I'll hear back tomorrow.

I don't even know if my ramble made sense. But I sent an email asking for some clarification about my questions above as well as if all placements offer a stipend, versus only competitive ones. Sadly, none of the placements for the CCIP concentration caught my interest that much, but I love the idea of actually being paid for my labor...
  11. Yeah, same. I also stalked a forum from the past and it seemed like people were finding out earlier than late March - possibly around the time a field faculty member contacted them? Or maybe the admissions office just finished earlier than planned - which, given the total number of applicants last year (around 400), wouldn't surprise me. So, my spring break is March 8th--14th. I'd love to coordinate a trip, but I'm not positive if I can visit yet (during spring break) because of my internship and hours (I'm at a school, so the spring breaks are different). If I do end up visiting though, I might see you?
  12. Well, my boss sent out a summer intention survey yesterday that is due 2/21 (I worked at a summer camp), and I have no idea what to put yet. I want to work full-time, but my options may be limited, since I would be leaving early in the summer for either UDenver or UW (they may put me on part-time, which ofc doesn't pay as much). At the same time, I've seriously considered a gap year should I get rejected from Washington. In that case, I could work for the entire summer, save up, and then move in August or so, although I'd have to find temp housing. I also would love to hear back from Washington now, so I can plan a potential visit over spring break, but here we are. ?‍♀️ I've definitely shut up about grad school since I heard back from Denver, because like, I know I'm not going to get an email anytime soon. That's actually relived a lot of anxiety for me. Don't decisions come out in late March, though? So we have to endure most of that month first ahahaha. But then, a field faculty member will be contacting accepted students between late Feb and early March, which to me seems like an unofficial acceptance, no? As for the competitive field placement - I applied for the CCIP concentration, and most of the placements when I looked were for clinical. Those that were CCIP did not interest me. I know they said they'd be updating it so I'll be checking now and then, and am gonna figure out who to ask for references just in case (and so they know ahead of time). Sorry for the long response. ?
  13. Y'all I just gotta say...now that I know I've been accepted to University of Denver and University of Michigan, and am not expecting to hear back from Washington anytime soon...the stress level has dropped substantially!!! I'm not consistently checking my email anymore, and my best friend (bless her heart) is finally getting a break from me talking about grad school. I've even stopped checking the forum obsessively! That all being said, UW not sending out decisions until late March is frustrating (my boss sent out an intention survey for the summer that's due 2/21 and I have no idea how to answer since so much is up in the air right now) but there's nothing I can do right now except wait. Best of luck to those who are waiting for an answer any day now, and congrats to anyone who has received an acceptance! We're in this wait together...
  14. This is so helpful, thank you! I likely won't end up going (UDenver is my second choice, and I've been accepted with a scholarship whereas UMich has given me nothing), but I know it could be helpful to other attendees, since their being quiet about it is a huge barrier, like you said...
  15. Only 11k (for the entire year), plus federal loan and work-study, which will come later. Not a lot, but I'm trying to ignore that. ?
