    If you don't mind me asking what are your stats and research interest? I applied to Emory GHD PhD, UCSF GHS and Brown and have yet to hear anything. I am wondering if I did something wrong in my application and I am starting to worry with everyone getting interview requests!

    Luckily I got my first acceptance, I feel a bit relieved but would like to hear back about funding and other programs I applied to. National Taiwan University sent out acceptances this past week and now I am just waiting to see if I can secure funding for their Global Health PhD program.

    I was just wondering how people are handling the waiting time for decisions? I think I am going a little crazy, I know a lot of decisions won't be released till at least January but how have you been dealing with it? I applied to 7 schools (all December 1 deadline) and a Fulbright. Does anyone have any good strategies?

    Random question, how heavily do you think schools way GPA's in the decision process? When I applied through SOPHAS I did not realize I had to include some transcripts from when I was in high school taking college classes. I have two undergraduate degrees one is a 3.2 overall and my second one which is more recent I have a 3.68. Plus my MPH GPA is a 3.95. When I was reviewing my verification my overall from all of my degrees combined was a 3.3 ad I am worried this will hurt my chances.

    Hello! I am also applying for some PhD programs in Social & Behavioral Health. Right now I am looking at Brown and Johns Hopkins University. A little information about me: Undergrad GPA: 3.2 & 3.7 (I have two bachelors degrees one in public communications and one in anthropology) MPH GPA: 3.95 One publication coming out soon and I am currently working on tobacco addiction research. I am very interested in researching mental health specifically substance abuse disorders in vulnerable populations. I am still researching schools so would love to hear where everyone else is applying to!

    Hi Everyone! I am currently finishing up my MPH at the University of Rochester and am looking at applied medical anthropology programs and programs that might have a great interest in substance abuse/domestic violence? Does anyone have any suggestions of what schools to look at? My Profile is: Masters GPA 3.9 Undergrad GPA's 3.2 (public comm degree) 3.7 (anthro degree went back to school) GRE scores: I am retaking them! I should have one or two publications by the end of my program coming up soon and I have TA experience. Really just looking for general information about programs and where I might have a chance to get in. Schools I currently have in mind are University of South Florida, Texas State, University of Virginia then my reach schools are Berkley and Harvard. I am trying to get a funded program and are unsure if these programs are funded but I am trying to look at all possibilities. Thanks!
