  1. One of my good friends just reached the 2nd round of SVA MFA interviews so the wheels are turning!
  2. Her name is Madison Donnelly :). - http://www.madisondonnelly.com/
  3. Yale made an exception for COVID-19 to allow deferral for the previous round. But that's only a one time case this time here. Otherwise, that is correct. Yale does not do any deferrals in most circumstances. And next round there will be no deferrals at all whatsoever.
  4. I think Cranbrook has improved a lot recently...
  5. Yes... considering that we are in special circumstances it's more of who knows? Good luck and can't wait to see how things go!
  6. Absolutely horrid. And now after the Nashville bombing downtown I will dis-recommend even going into the city in today's environment with the increasing number of alt-right folks and militia groups.
  7. Typically it's March-ish but I don't know with the new COVID era protocol when it would be nowadays. Probably the same?
  8. That's correct :)
  9. Good luck! I can't wait to hear any results from this year's round.
  10. That's interesting. I know that a lot of the top tier schools don't really do that as they get so many applications. In fact basically they just project the images on a huge screen and go through them one by one. So websites being looked at would be an exception and not the norm.
  11. Linking a website doesn't matter. The committee doesn't bother with that during decision making. They have too many applicants to look over.
  12. Hunter is also pretty diverse. They have a large pool of folks so they can have a large number of categories to engage with. http://www.huntermfastudio.org/students
  13. Long weeks ahead.
  14. You're welcome and good luck w/ your apps!
  15. Yes if they don't say anything, that is.
  16. feel free to email me
  17. I can look over your portfolio if you wish to e-mail me regarding this :). Hope that helps.
  18. Thanks and yes I enjoy being busy... also I managed to start a new gallery here in downtown SLC so exciting times!
  19. I am not a post-undergrad but I have made a ton of connections via my SVA online residency which I did last summer. I also applied for this upcoming semester as well. I am a full-time student with no job and right now I am running a new art gallery while going to school and maintaining a steady practice.
  20. Thanks Nora. Do you have an art website which I could peruse?
  21. My gut feeling is that it is ideal to ask for letters from folks who can attest to your ability to develop as an artist and evolve in your art practice. If your history professor can talk about how you will become a more refined artist then the person would be good to ask.
  22. Not sure but that is listed here for your interest- https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-15-top-art-schools-united-states
  23. I don't apply for at least 2.5 years but I have like 15 schools on my list.
  24. I will be in 2.5 years :)
  25. Thanks for sharing. I gather that you are leaning towards printmaking but I looked over your website and curious if you find your practice closer to that of graphic design?
