Yep! Just got in. To those that applied priority... there is still hope. I truly am rooting for ALL of you. Doesn’t feel right celebrating when my fellow peeps are still waiting. You all got this! 

Got an acceptance letter from Penn today with a scholarship!! Absolutely floored 

these are such wholesome replies, it's almost like we're all social workers

As frustrating as it is to wait, sometimes the schools just get backed up and theres no rhyme or reason for the delay. It definitely could be the letter but it also could just be that they haven't had a chance to review you yet. Hang in there! It'll all work out as its meant to.

Thank you! I'm shocked. I'm from a small town in western Kansas that no one has heard of, with the worst funding in the state. In my town, everyone goes to the hometown college and it was a big deal to even move 3 hours away. My mom sobbed when she found out I got in. She had me really young and gave up her education for me.  I feel overwhelmingly grateful today.

I got into Penn! they sent me an email saying they were going to call me tomorrow but didn't want to wait! I got it like an hour and a half ago!

Hey Guys, 

I am from the CS background, and I just came here to tell you that I love looking at this thread. There are so many of you out there together, helping each others out -- well mostly sharing anxieties I guess?  
And it seems like this thread is one of the longest ones on the forum. Keep going guys, and I wish you all good luck, hope you all get in. 
 

I don't know how longer I can wait! It's my dream school. The longer I wait the more I start to doubt my chances?

It looks like some folks who applied 12/1 heard back toward the end of January so it might just depend! Maybe you'll hear by 2/15 as well

I applied for U of Chicago back in November, and am also still waiting to hear back.
I've already been admitted to and received initial financial aid info from U of M, Columbia, and NYU. Still waiting to hear from Hunter too.
Nice to find a community to wait with!
 

Yes, same! However, the admissions office is closed 2/15. Unless they set the decisions to go out tomorrow instead of today which is... unnecessarily cruel. 

Don't be - I have heard such great things. It's more of a conversation than an interview, so just be passionate yourself and calm.

You could mention their Global Human Rights Certificate Program, and how it could provide a cross-cultural perspective on human right issues internationally. Also the courses within the program offered have focus on immigration, international social work in the global south, racism, etc.
